I think she might be a tad bit too powerful but I think to me at lets that she is just strong and would be playable in this format also this card is part of a dual attribute cycle. So....thoughts anyone? Give me your honest opinion I am new to yu-gi-oh.

1 Level 4 WATER monster + 1 Level 4 LIGHT Monster
While face-up on the field or in the graveyard, this card is also LIGHT-Attribute. When this card is summoned, target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position or Flip 1 face-down monster on the field into face-up Attack Position. Once during either players turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; and banish this card then at the beginning of the next phase special summon it to the battlefield with all of the remaining XYZ material attached. (Quick effect.)

Sorry there you go :D. I wanted to make a Sub-bosses type card for the cycle and I feel this one is pretty strong yet balanced for several reasons.

1. Doges removal but can still but chained down.

2. With its effect on T1 or T2 you should be able to either take out one of their creatures or stall the board for three turn or force them to waste removal or be hit with 2100 Atk each turn.

3. It is highly versatile allowing it to be used with different archtypes and maybe creating a new one but you must at least splash your deck with either water or light monsters to summon making her a versatile card but restrictive in cost stopping decks like Lightsworn from having another combat trick without changing their deck much.

4. Flavor wise the idea was to have mermaid be able to hide underwater to dodge removal(Check), and use the water/tides to defend herself(Book of Moon,Check) and be able to save your other creatures(Book of Moon again, Check). Uses the tide to flush out your opponents monsters(Book of T check)

The wording of this card near the end of the effect is a little awkward.  Once during either players turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; and banish this card then at the beginning of the next phase special summon it to the battlefield with all of the remaining XYZ material attached. If it is banished, the xyz materials hit the graveyard. You can say something like, "Once during either players turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; and banish this card then at the beginning of the next phase special summon it to the field and if you do, target one level 4 LIGHT or WATER monster in your graveyard and attach it to this card as xyz material." Even with that effect it can be abused to all hell with recycling itself, so I'm not sure exactly what your trying to say with the effect.

So you call my card bad and you produce this piece of crap?  It's useless except for 1 Book of Moon effect which Maestroke can do way better!

How is he better if this monster can flip ANY monster face-up or face-down? Also Maestroke of the Symphony Djinn can only target the opponent's monster and it has to be in face-up Attack Position! So yeah in this Book of Moon/Book of Taiyou effect alone it is much much better than Maestroke... also this monster has Wind-up Rabbit's effect to protect itself and we all know how strong that is... so yeah overall this card is kind of OP and I completely disagree that it's a "piece of crap" like you said. I don't know what he said about your card but this monster is pretty awesome and it looks freaking hot!

If you run Level 4 LIGHT Monsters in a water deck, I don't know what to tell you.

This monster could be a beginning of a new archtype or a mix between Lightsworn/Mermail which is not insane with the right combination of support like this one it could easily happen and it would probably dominate the meta, also this monster is part of his Golden Seas Archtype -> http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/311889-golden-seas-archtype/#entry6343495

I like the concept v. much actually, an Xyz that dodges is pretty cool and of course it should have some limitation because dodging is a v. powerful effect. ATM the only conceivable way I see of summoning it is E-Hero Neos Alius and Bubbleman, which seems pretty reasonable.

You could also potentially have made it in Dino Rabbit with Kabazauls and Thunder King but that seems very limited and tbh the effect isn't powerful enough to merit going well out of your way to make it, it still loses to Warning and chaining.

I couldn't really tell you how to improve it because it has niche summoning conditions for a pretty strong effect, but if you intend to make support for it you should look at the support cards and then evaluate how easy it is to make/whether you need to tone it down.

With this card I feel it is very hard to tweek and balanced more because it is a powerful effect for niche summoning like the Hop said and Kir said in the Golden Seas Archtype Thread stop it from being used in the damage step which is necessary to stop game breaking combat tricks. This card is to me the Lord/Sub Boss of the Golden Seas and the bread and butter of the archetype and because of the flavor and power of the card I feel it would warrant other Archetypes to combine together with water and see how it works.

@Heavy....dude your Blackwing Monster has no FLAVOR at all how does being Luster deal with another card or protecting another card next like I said at first if you need to protect a card from dying it should not be in your deck in the first place. Yes Kalut is a card but so is Heroic Chance and Excalibur can STILL get to 4000 ATK so stop being a baby and give real criticism. Which I gave you on YOUR CARD even after you called me an Idiot if not then do not post being a Troll.

Thank everyone for the comments they mean a lot and helped me a lot @Kir I am updating the cards I have in the Archetype Thread and posting some XYZ support for Keria and 3-4 more cards :D
