Lunar Origins
Dynamic Duo [ Spell / Quickplay ] This card is also treated as a Continuous Spell Card. When this card is activated: Set 1 "Static Duo" from your Deck. When this card is activated, if you control a face-up "Static Duo" card: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "HERO" or "Neo Spacian" monster from your Deck. Static Duo [ Trap / Continuous ] HERO monsters that were Special Summoned by a card effect cannot be destroyed by Spell/Trap card effects. Once per turn, if Special Summon a "HERO" monster: Target 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls; change those cards to Defense position (if possible), and if you do, destroy those cards. Toffee.
Static lets you Target the monster you just summoned, to which, it then also protects it- Basically Summoning a HERO from the deck destroys any 1 card on the field. Was Static meant to be like that? Just curious, really.
Lunar Origins
Yes, that interaction was intended.
Toffee.
Yes, that interaction was intended. And if that's the case- Doesn't it seem a little silly to even include the 'Destroy 1 card you control' part?Like, it's not like anyone would ever pick something that ISN'T the monster they Summon. Lunar Origins
But what if you want to destroy a card you control? :c
Toffee.
You could, but like... People would just pick the Summon monster for a destruction effect with no real drawback to it.
