Neutrality Man
Equip only to a face-up Xyz Monster. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can attach 1 monster whose Level is equal to the Rank of the equipped monster from your hand or Graveyard to the equipped monster as Xyz Material. Xyz Materials detached from the equipped monster are returned to the bottom of the Deck instead of being send to the Graveyard. I'm thinking of adding on a maintenance cost, but I'm not sure what to make it require. Suggestions? ============================================ Equip only to a face-up Xyz Monster. Xyz Materials detached from the equipped monster are banished instead of being sent to the Graveyard. Buffed it up a bit since I over-blocked an infinite material cycle. (Detach, reattach, wait a turn, repeat) Now banishes instead of sending to the bottom of the Deck.
Equip only to a face-up Xyz Monster. If this card leaves the field, detach all Xyz Materials from the equipped monster. Only 1 "Overlaid Overdrive" can be equipped to an Xyz Monster at a time. -Noel-
just this is pretty slow imo, and u still want to add maintenance cost? put the detached monster to the bottom of the deck mean u can't fill ur graveyard with monsters, and many R4 engine nowadays are rely on Grave, so if you really want to have maintenance cost, make the attach eff become normal OPT. Neutrality Man
It sends to the bottom of the Deck to avoid infinite OPT effects by just reattaching the detached material, but I can see your comments on the speed. Just imagine equipping this thing to "Number 101: S.H. ARK". I'll go ahead and buff it a bit though, I'm just trying not to break it. Updated in first post. -Noel-
alright it's better, but the drawback is still huge, I mean this card's concept, even return the material to the bottom or banished, is breaking the game of R4 deck, almost R4 shenanigans have eff that get another Level 4 from Grave (Wolfbark, Switchhitter, Gogogos, Zombie Master, Gishki Beast, Traptrix Dio, Double Fin, etc) so banishing the material are contradicted with those said cards, and for me getting new Xyz is better than protect the old one that opponent already know it's existed
Neutrality Man
Removed the redirect entirely, but disallowed stacking multiple copies on one monster. How is it now? I'm still new to balancing the Xyz mechanics.
Toffee.
It sends to the bottom of the Deck to avoid infinite OPT-Wait, what?If you use both Materials of Ark Knight, then somehow regain another 2 Materials to it in the same turn, you still can't use it again. This is because Ark specifically says "You can only use this effect of "Number 101: Silent Honor ARK" once per turn".So I'm not sure what sort infinite loops your thinking of. Neutrality Man
I tend to avoid anything that can constantly refresh itself with 1 full round (your turn, your opponent's turn, and the Standby of your next turn). I'm just going to assume the definition of "infinite loop" used around here is stricter than that and contained to 1 single turn
