2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects. Each effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field.

• Target 1 monster in your Graveyard that was destroyed by battle; add that target to your hand.

• Banish 1 monster with 2000 or less ATK from your Deck, then during your opponent's second End Phase after this effect was activated, Special Summon that monster.

 

A defensive Rank 4 for a change.

Regarding the card's flavor: it messes with both the past and the future by returning a monster that already fell in battle, or Summoning a monster that you have not drawn yet in a similar fashion to Gold Sarcophagus/Serene Psychic Witch. Hence her name.

I quite like both the sarcophagus effect and the adding to hand from graveyard effect. Although for the first effect there may be some debate over whether something was destroyed by battle in a live duel (memories fail after all). I assume the ruling on that effect would be that if the selected card leaves the graveyard again then returns to it, that it would reset the fact its been destroyed by battle? (i.e. CoH the monster to xyz with it, even though it was destroyed by battle initially, it would now no longer be in the graveyard under that condition?)

 

I also find it quite annoying that konami have almost no defensive rank 4s worth using besides maestroke and...uhhh....yeah, just maestroke maybe? Although that's more or less outclassed by silent honor ark now anyway.

Overall, this card has good utility in a lot of decks, although given how much flexibility rank 4 decks already have I think this might be giving them too many options as if there isn't enough already. I think I'd prefer this card if it wasn't generic, since it's allowing pluses as well as an SS, and both effects are very flexible. I'd say it'd be a better type or attribute specific card, but that's just my two cents!

Yeah, I noticed too how we don't have any high-DEF (2800+) Rank 4 besides the recently released Crab King, who happens to also work as a beater.

 

As for the ruling on monsters that were destroyed by battle then removed and sent back to the grave, we might have to follow the rulings on "Paladin of the Cursed Dragon", who also targets monsters destroyed by battle.

 

My goal with this card was giving Rank 4s some sort of generic King Feral Imp/Gear Gigant, but I understand how this card could become a problem. Which Attribute and/or Type would you suggest as Xyz Materials for this card? I'm thinking on 2 LIGHTs, even if I feel they don't deserve it considering they already have three 2-materials exclusive Xyzs (Paladynamo, Bujin Tsukuyomi and Omega). Because of her type, the other option is 2 Fiends, but I think that would kill her playability since there are few Rank 4-centric Fiend Decks. (the only one I can think of is Umbrals).

Forgot about Crab King, looking forward to that card coming out in the TCG.

 

I'm not sure what the ruling is on that card to be honest, but it has the same condition as yours so it doesn't look like there would be any ruling conflicts. 

 

The thing is gear gigant is exclusive to machines and king of the feral imps requires the player to use reptiles. While this card can only plus once, I think having that option for any deck that can run rank 4s is a bit generous. Perhaps no more so than daigusto emeral, but then that card at least technically has a cost and only 1800 atk to defend itself with. 

 

LIGHT rank 4 xyzs are probably the best so it wouldn't be a personal preference, but I think it would still be better requiring 2 level 4 LIGHT monsters instead of just any. 

If it was restricted to 2 level 4 fiends it would give those able to use it an interesting perk, although I agree it would kill its playability on the whole. 

It depends on how set you are on the card's fiend typing really.

I'm open to changing her type to Fairy, Spellcaster or even Psychic for the sake of making it more playable. Psychic would actually fit her better considering that Time-related monsters such as Time-Space Police and Time Escaper are of this type.

 

However, if I remember correctly, Rank 4-centric Fairy, Spellcaster and Psychic Decks are as scarce as Rank 4 Fiends, so I guess my best bet is going for LIGHT materials anyways.
