Samurai Warriors Cards

So, I went and made a Samurai Warriors set of cards. The set centers around the battlefields, which are field spell cards, the three conquerors adding them to the hand quickly, and the field spells themselves summoning 2 or 3 monsters at the same time, trying to mow down the opponent in battle.

There might be some mistakes in the card texts, so please check them out, and leave some comments:

Post the card lore under your cards so that it's easier for people to read it, on the off chance that the image loading flubs.

It also makes it easier for me to do my routine of reading through and correcting card lore.
You can return shuffle this card from your hand into your Deck; add 1 Field Spell Card with this card's name in its card text from your Deck to your hand, which includes this card's name in its card text. You cannot activate the cards with the same name as that card added to your hand by this effect this turn.
Three high-Level monsters, with slightly differing stats, all with the same effect. We'll see how their tutoring powers come into play once we reach their respective Fields.
While If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Ieyasu Tokugawa" is on your side of the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). While this card is on your side of the field, All face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Ieyasu Tokugawa" you control cannot be targetted for attacks or card effects.
Holy crap this guy's beefy, and as Ieyasu's finest general, it's fitting. Almost mistook him for Ieyasu's personal bodyguard based solely on the protection effect. I've tacked on a "you control" to that protection effect to prevent opposing Ieyasus from enjoying it.
Once per turn: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of this card's ATK. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.
Rather generic effect. Nothing much to see here.
If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Ieyasu Tokugawa" is on your side of the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: If the attack target's a monster whose DEF is lower than this card's ATK: Destroy the opponent's that monster. immediately with this card's effect (without damage calculation)
1900/1900 is rather low for a LV6 monster, and while his effect can easily make up for it by attacking weak points of big beaters with lacking DEF, it's not as glamorous if he's the one being attacked.
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 2 "Sengoku Bushou" monsters: Special summon this card from your hand. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflicts piercing battle damage to your opponent. When During the Damage Step, if this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can switch this card's ATK and DEF until the End Phase, and if you do, to it can make a second attack with this card once again in a row. You can only activate the effect of "Sengoku Bushou - Keiji Maeda" once per turn.
What happens if Keiji has an ATK-boosting Equip? Does the boost carry over to his DEF when you swap his stats?
While If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda", is on your side of the field: you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. While this card is face-up on the field, All face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" you control cannot be targetted for attacks or card effects. This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position (in that case, the ATK of this card is used for damage calculation).
"Targeted" does not have the double-t.
While If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda", is on your side of the field: you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). While this card is face-up on the field, All face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" you control cannot be targetted for attacks or card effects. When At the end of the Damage Step, when this card monster attacks an opponent's monster, and but the opposing opponent's monster was is not destroyed by that battle: The ATK and DEF of That monster is reduced by loses 800 ATK and DEF. If the ATK or DEF of an opponent's monster is reduced to 0 by this card's effect, destroy that monster is destroyed.

You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. If this card was Summoned this way, it gains the following effect without tributes: *This card must attack each turn if able.
Forced attacking is nothing for a no-Tribute 2400 beatstick.
You can Tribute any number of other monsters, other than this card (min. 1) on your side of the field: Until the End Phase, this card gains 300 ATK is increased by 300 x the number of for each monsters Tributed, also until the end phase. this card can make a second attack twice in a row the turn this effect is activated Battle Phase.
Tributing for temporary stat boosts are usually regarded as a wasteful investment, though the double-attack addition might be welcome.
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can change it to Defense Position, and if you do, to add 1 'Sengoku Bushou' monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Sengoku Bushou - Okuni". If you activate this effect, for the rest of this turn this effect is activated, any monster's effects of monsters in the hand which activates in the hand cannot be activated.
A temporary Mind Drain on top of a tutor? This can be exploited to push for game if you fear a Battle Fader or the like. Unless you intend the Mind Drain to only affect you.
If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflicts piercing battle damage to your opponent. When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Sengoku Bushou - Oichi" from your hand or Deck. When "Sengoku Bushou - Oichi" is destroyed: This card loses 1000 ATK as long as it is face-up on the field.

When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "Sengoku Bushou - Nagamasa Azai": Add 1 "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" from your Deck to your hand. That monster's effect in the hand You cannot be activated this the effect of "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" the turn you activate this effect.
Clearly the Field Spell does something groundbreaking. In cases of preventing activation of cards in your hand, you'll need to block out copies that share its name to ensure that one doesn't bluff that the card they actually tutored is a copy they had earlier. Also, combo: Call of the Haunted, SS Nagamasa, SS Oichi, tutor Nobunaga, Tribute both for Nobunaga.
When this card is added from your Deck to your hand from your deck by a card effect, except by drawing: Destroy Target 1 card on the field; destroy that target, then, if you control a "Sengoku Bushou" monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Sengoku Bushou - Ginchiyo Tachibana" from your hand or Deck.
Tacked on "except by drawing" to avoid this card accidentally going off if you're lucky enough to draw into it using any generic draw ability.
When this card is Tributed for the Tribute Summon of "Sengoku Bushou - Muneshige Tachibana": Add 1 "Sengoku Bushou" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Sengoku Bushou - Muneshige Tachibana". That monster You cannot activate its the effect(s) of monsters with the same name as that card in the hand this the turn you activate this effect.
The entire archetype so far: tutor, tutor, inherent SS high level monster, tutor again. I can hear Rai-Oh laughing so hard...
When this card is Tribute Summoned: Add 1 'Sengoku Bushou - Keiji Maeda' from your Deck to your hand. This card counts can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a "Sengoku Bushou" monster.
Do you know how to use spoiler tags? This prevents someone who wants to look through your cards from scrolling more than they want to. You can use them to group related cards together too.
When this card is Normal Summoned: Place Choose 1 Field Spell from your Deck to the and place it on the top of your Deck, after showing it to your opponent. During your next Draw Phase after this effect's activation, before you conduct your normal draw (even if you no longer control this face-up card), your opponent can discard 2 cards, and if they do, to send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard (This effect activates even if this card is not on your side of the field during that time).
It's been a while since we've seen a card that puts the opponent at a sadistic choice. That's the kind of "player interaction" we could use.
When this card is Normal Summoned: Special Summon 1 "Sengoku Bushou" monster from your hand. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects which don't target it specificly, and cannot be destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster with the same ATK.

While If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" is on your side of the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position, with its ATK reduced by 1000. If this card is Summoned this way, it loses 1000 ATK. You cannot Normal Summon or Set the turn you Special Summon activate this effect card.
Brush up on your inherent Special Summon clause, unless you actually intend for them to be effects that start Chains.
While If you control 2 or more "Sengoku Bushou" monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once while this card is face-up on the field, During your Main Phase: You can pay 1000 Life Points to destroy target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy that target. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field.
Unless you want that effect to not target...
When an monster you control destroys an opponent's monster is destroyed by battle: You can Tribute that monster; Special Summon this card from your hand by tributing the monster which destroyed it. This card cannot attack during the Battle Phase in which it is Special Summoned this way. When this card is Summoned: Destroy all Fiend-Type monsters on the field. Each time When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Gain 800 Life Points.

Once per turn, when If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Kenshin Uesugi" is face-up on the field: Return You can shuffle this card from your hand into your Deck; reveal excavate the top 4 cards of your Deck. If there is a Field Spell Card among them, add it to your hand, then shuffle the remaining cards into your deck. You can only activate the effect of "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" once per turn.
"Once per turn" clauses are reset if the card changes its location in the game. Thus I've changed it to a "once per turn per copy" clause. Also, placing cards that combo with each other so far apart results in a reader needing to scroll a lot.
If there is no monster in the opponent's Monster Zone in the same column as this card, this card can attack your opponent directly. If you use this effect, halve all battle damage this card inflicts to your opponent by attacking directly using this effect is halved.
Senet-like ability with no way to change its column position?
When you draw this card: You can reveal it to your opponent. If you do, add 1 Field Spell Card with "Sengoku Bushou - Kenshin Uesugi" or "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" in its card text from your Deck to your hand. It must include 'Sengoku Bushou - Kenshin Uesugi' or 'Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda' in its card text. By You can paying 1000 Life Points; you can return shuffle this card from your hand to your deck. You can only use the each effect of 'Sengoku Bushou - Kanetsugu Naoe' once per turn.

When If you control this card and a face-up is on the field together with "Sengoku Bushou - Hanzo Hattori", this card and all face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Hanzo Hattori" gain 500 ATK and DEF. When At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks an opponent's face-up monster: You can pay Life Points equal to the DEF of the opponent's that monster; destroy that monster immediately with this card's effect (without damage calculation).
How far do you intend to make me scroll?
When the effect of "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" is activated while this card is in your hand together with this card: You can chain this card's effect to the activation of 'Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda''s effect. If you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent, then, shuffle all "Sengoku Bushou" monsters in your Graveyard into your deck, and shuffle your deck.
No need to shuffle your Deck twice unless you're not thorough. The game normally expects you to be thorough with your shuffling, though.
When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Add 1 "Sengoku Bushou - Ujiyasu Hojo" or "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" from your Deck to your hand. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects which that don't target it, or by battle with a monster with the same ATK.
Really strong for a 1900/1900 LV4 monster...
This card's level is treated as Level 5 while face-up on the field. When Before damage calculation, if this face-down card was attacked is selected as an attack target: reduce the attacking monster loses 1000 ATK by 1000 before damage calculation. If your opponent receives this card inflicts 1000 or more battle damage to your opponent as a result of battle with this card: Add 1 "Sengoku Bushou" monster from your Deck to your hand.
I'm kinda confused over the Level 5 effect. Feels rather thrown in randomly, unless you intend it to Synchro or Xyz later on.
When both You can reveal this card and "Sengoku Bushou - Kojiro Sasaki" are in your hand: You can Special Summon both revealed cards this card and 'Sengoku Bushou - Kojiro Sasaki' (from your hand). If you special summon this card is Summoned with this way: effect, Target 1 "Sengoku Bushou" monsters in your Graveyard; Add those Shuffle that targets into your Deck. Your deck is then shuffled.

When both You can reveal this card and "Sengoku Bushou - Musashi Miyamoto" are in your hand: You can Special Summon both revealed cards this card and 'Sengoku Bushou - Musashi Miyamoto' (from your hand). If you special summon this card is Summoned with this way: effect, choose Discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand at random; Discard it to the graveyard. If it was a monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK.
I presume either one of them can only activate their effect if both are Summoned, since the other one wasn't Special Summoned as written on the card.
If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Ieyasu Tokugawa" is on your side of the field and this card is in your hand, you can activate this card's effect: Return Shuffle 1 other "Sengoku Bushou" monster from your hand into your Deck; Special Summon this card from your hand.

If you control a face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Mitsunari Ishida" is on your side of the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn: You can banish 4 monsters in your opponent's graveyard; Add to target 1 Field Spell Card from in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.
Banishing your opponent's monsters as a cost? That's pushing the envelope.
When this card is flipped face-up, if and your Life Points are lower than your opponent's: make all Each player's Life Points become half the combined Life Points of both players, rounded down equal.
When you said "equal", what number do they become? I could say "Both become 0. That's equal." So I've forced the effect to put the Life Points at half the collective total, like Yu-Jo Friendship.

Am I done yet? Oh, there's still the Field Spells...

Card Corrections:

First of all, about the general effect wording, I'm so sorry if the effects turned out to be confusing because of my lack of wording sense.

Tadakatsu: Good correction there, indeed, I don't want opposing Ieyasu benefiting from Tadakatsu's effect.

Keiji: The boost carries over to his DEF. The reverse refers not to the original ATK and DEF, but the current ATK and DEF.

Ranmaru: How did I make an English mistake there?? o_o  Oh well, at least there weren't any faulty effects there.

Katsuie: I figured that the negative effect could be to destroy this card at the end phase and get damage equal to its ATK, if you control no other warrior-type monster or 'Sengoku Bushou' specificly.

Kanbei: He looks more like a spellcaster if you ask me, but I left it as a warrior. And yes, tributing one monster to get him from 2100 ATK to 2400 ATK double attacker seems to make it more worth it. It's based on his musou attack in the game by the way, at the end of the attack he gets additional orbs for some time.

Okuni: The purpose of the 'Mind Drain' in this card is to stall Nobunaga/Hideyoshi/Ieyasu , or even Shingen/Kenshin/Ujiyasu or Musashi/Kojiro. Honestly, if it's Nobunaga/Hideyoshi/Ieyasu, The field spell would come only on the second turn, so it seemed appropriate as it was. That's about the only reason.

Nagamasa&Oichi: The combo you purposed gets you a 3000 ATK beatstick without effects... ... it's like Blue eyes in one turn, maybe? Well, it's assuming you have Nagamasa in your graveyard and call of the haunted on the field, but that's not really THAT hard.

Muneshige: Nice correction, I didn't intend it activate by drawing, only by 'adding from deck to hand' effects.

Ginchiyo: Yukimura Kai and Katsuie would laugh at Rai-oh too =P

Toshiie: I do, but for this post, let me tell you a little secret... I copy-pasted all the cards in one go from a notepad with all the links and the names on the side of each link. I'm lazy ^^'

Sakon: The strategist at his finest, I tellz ya. Grapha would laugh at that though.

Mitsuhide: Well I'm not the brightest in yugioh... but it doesn't start a chain, so yea...

Yoshihiro: It does target, of course.

Shingen: Thanks for that little detail. Also Sakon could combo with Shingen in the right situation. Excavate is a new term for me, believe it or not.

Kotaro: Turn left at the end of the world, please. (joke)

Ujiyasu: Now that I take a look at it, you're right, no need to shuffle twice. I intended it to be chained to Shingen, but I guess it just goes like that anyway.

Kaihime: She has 1000 DEF, not 1900, but still, most of the time she'll be in attack position... Also is it just me or this card got the least correction?

Hanbei: It seems random, but... It's actually a referrence to the game, Hanbei telling people not to judge him by his looks. And indeed, it looks like a weak level 4 face-down monster, while it's really dangerous to attack him, as he punishes anything below 2100 ATK with an additional effect.

Musashi&Kojiro: That's EXACTLY how I intended it to be. In the game, Musashi claims the sword can work to preserve life, while Kojiro claims The sword can be used only to kill. You have to choose ONE.

Kiyomasa: I intended it to be a big number, to severely limit the number of times you get to use the effect in the first place. I think changing the number to 6 instead of 4 will do the job, don't you think?

Yoshimoto: I KNEW IT. Believe it or not, I intended to put both life points at the value of the player with the most life points. Meh, it's just a buffoon. Nobunaga owned him at Okehazama, outnumbered ten to one even.

At the end, there was no card left untouched... I have much to learn. Meanwhile, I'll put the cards in spoiler tags...

EDIT: Fixed Yoshimoto. It was painful just to watch it remain like that.

Indeed, "excavate" is just a new keyword to summarize "reveal from the Deck", like how "banish" summarized "remove from play". It doesn't introduce any new action to the game. I suppose it's to prevent confusion with cards revealed from other locations or something.

Now, for the Field Spells...
When this card is activated: Special Summon from your deck, hand, or graveyard to your field 1 of each: "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" and "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Reduce the ATK of all your opponent's monsters by 300 as long as they are face-up on the field, During each of your Standby Phases: All face-up monsters your opponent currently controls lose 300 ATK.
Now I understand. Simply playing the field calls the generals into play, and then some. Kinda makes the "shuffle into Deck" cost of tutoring the fields moot, don't you think?
When this card is activated: Special Summon from your deck, hand, or graveyard to your field 1 of each: "Sengoku Bushou - Ieyasu Tokugawa" and "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. When your opponent activates a Spell Card: You can toss a coin and call it. If you call it right the result correctly, negate the spell card's activation, and if you do, destroy it. During your opponent's Main Phase 1: Your opponent can target return 2 monsters they control to the hand; on their field, and return them to their hand to destroy this card during their main phase 1.
Hmm, I'm not too well-versed in significant events in ancient Japanese history. I believe there's some flavour to their effects, but I can't point it out.
When this card is activated: Special Summon from your deck, hand, or graveyard to your field 1 of each: "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda", "Sengoku Bushou - Nagamasa Azai" and "Sengoku Bushou - Hideyoshi Toyotomi" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Increase the ATK and DEF of All face-up "Sengoku Bushou - Nagamasa Azai" by gain 700 ATK. "Sengoku Bushou - Hideyoshi Toyotomi" and "Sengoku Bushou - Nobunaga Oda" cannot attack while this card is face-up on the field.
So, activate this card, bring out Nagamasa with 3100 ATK, his effect triggers to SS Oichi, her effect triggers to tutor another Nobunaga... The only other reason I'd see to run this card is when you're staring down an opposing Hideyoshi and/or Nobunaga, letting your own Nagamasa get the upper hand on them while protected from a degree of counterattack.
When this card is activated: Special Summon from your deck, hand, or graveyard to your field 1 of each: "Sengoku Bushou - Hideyoshi Toyotomi" and "Sengoku Bushou - Mitsuhide Akechi". If a player controls a monster in their middle Monster Zone and their opponent doesn't of one player has a monster on it, and the other player's middle monster zone is empty, the that monster on the full middle monster zone can attack directly. Once per turn: Either player can target 1 monster they control and choose 1 adjacent unoccupied Monster Zone; move that target to the chosen Card Zone.
I don't normally force my hand in directly editing card effects during normal lore corrections, but when I do, it's for relatively good reason. There isn't much of a point fiddling with Senet-like effects if you don't include a method of moving monsters into the appropriate zones.
When this card is activated: Special Summon from your deck, hand, or graveyard to your field 1 of each: "Sengoku Bushou - Hideyoshi Toyotomi", "Sengoku Bushou - Katsuie Shibata", and "Sengoku Bushou - Oichi". During At the start of the Battle Phase: The turn player can choose to activate this card's effect; Instead of attacking, Both players add up all compare their monsters' combined ATK of all monsters they control together, then the player with the lower result receives takes damage equal to the difference between the two results. The turn player cannot declare an attack the turn they activate this effect.
So, if you eliminate all your opponent's monsters prior to playing this card, you can easily do a massive 6800 burn without worry of Fader getting in your way?
When this card is activated: Special Summon from your deck, hand, or graveyard to your field 1 of each: "Sengoku Bushou - Kenshin Uesugi" and "Sengoku Bushou - Shingen Takeda" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. When a battle occurs and At the end of the Damage Step, if no monster was destroyed by that battle: Place 1 Rivalry Counter on this card. When the 4th Rivalry Counter is placed on this card: Send Shuffle this card from your field spell zone into your Deck; destroy and target 2 cards on the field; destroy those targets.
Seems like it would take some effort in triggering this card's last effect. Is it worth it, though?

The shuffling to the deck cost comes with not being able to activate the fields until next turn. Also, when you add Nobunaga/Hideyoshi/Ieyasu themselves to the hand by another effect, it comes with being unable to activate those effects that turn. Unless you draw the fields directly (or use the generic add field to hand spell) , it's delayed for at least one turn for the opponent to get ready for it. So sure, if you activate Nobunaga/Hideyoshi/Ieyasu to add the field spell to the hand, they come back only on your next turn. Basicly it gives the opponent at least one turn to do something about it, in most cases (if not two). Oh, and the field has to include the name of the returned Nobunaga/Hideyoshi/Ieyasu, but that's less important.

Kanegasaki: Let me remind you that Oichi is Nagamasa's weakness, and if she's destroyed, Nagamasa drops to 2100 in this case (1400 of the field is not present) , and she has only 1600 ATK/DEF. And all Nobunaga/Hideyoshi cannot attack... so the only apparent choice is xyz for rank 8 or something. (I should've put 'you cannot xyz summon rank 8 monsters' in that card too...)

Yamazaki: That correction is fine with me, gives a chance to block direct attacks except by summoning another monster to that zone.

Shizugatake: It comes with the limit of not attacking that turn, but basicly it's effect damage able to bypass even stuff like Galaxy-eyes.

Kawanakajima: I thought about banishing those cards instead, but went for that at the end. I'm not so sure if destroying was the best choice though. It bypasses strong defenses, while having some flavor in it.

Now, for the flavor:

Nagashino:  A battle of the Oda against the Takeda. It's technically not accurate, since it wasn't Shingen who fought Nobunaga, but his son, Katsuyori, while Shingen already died from illness (The game has a scenario where he faked his death, but I don't think that's true) . In that battle, the famous Takeda cavalry was crushed by the Oda's (2000 or 3000, forgot the number, I think it was 3000, as I based the 300 number on that) rifles (in the game, they were positioned behind those fences in the card). I imagined the card firing those rifles at the opponent's monsters during each of the player's standby phases.

Mikatagahara:  Tokugawa versus Takeda. Shingen was marching towards the capital, through Tokugawa territory. Ieyasu tried to march against them, but Shingen was well prepared for it. Ieyasu and his men were forced to flee to Iwasaki Castle, Ieyasu barely making it, a good number of his men lost. I pictured the opponent in some kind of major disadvantage as long as Mikatagahara is on the field (it being 50% chance of negating every spell they play). The opponent can 'withdraw their generals' to end the battle of Mikatagahara, just as Ieyasu was forced to withdraw.

Kanegasaki:  There's a reason why it's called 'Retreat at Kanegasaki' and not 'Battle of Kanegasaki'. The Oda were marching to defeat the Asakura clan who opposed them (And if I'm not mistaken, they were a big part of the 'Anti-Nobunaga' alliance) . Nobunaga had ties with the Azai with political mirrage (Nagamasa and Nobunaga's sister Oichi) , but the Azai had good relationship with said Asakura too. Nagamasa made the choice to attack the Oda, catching them completely off-guard at Kanegasaki, forcing Nobunaga to retreat. And by the way, Hideyoshi was one of Nobunaga's rearguard in that battle, along Ieyasu and Tadakatsu (in the game at least). That's why Nagamasa's ATK rises and Nobunaga and Hideyoshi cannot attack.

Yamazaki:  After the Incident at Honnoji (may make it to a card as well), in which Nobunaga was betrayed by his retainer Mitsuhide (this is why Mitsuhide's effect is to be special summoned to the opponent's side of the field by the way =P) , Hideyoshi, who was another retainer of Nobunaga until that time, wanted to kill the traitor Mitsuhide, and to succeed Nobunaga's ambitions. The attacking directly effect comes from a key location in that battle: Mount Tennoh. In the second game of Samurai Warriors, it even had cannons which would cause casulties, it all depended on who controlled it, that side would have at least some advantage.

Shizugatake:  Even after Yamazaki, there was another who challenged Hideyoshi for succeeding Nobunaga. And that was Katsuie Shibata, another retainer of the Oda, and a veteran warrior himself. After Nagamasa died by the hands of none other than Nobunaga (It was at Odani Castle), Oichi was married to Katsuie (or at least was on his side at the battle of Shizugatake, that's why she's included on the card) . Omitted from the card is Toshiie Maeda, who was on Katsuie's side and participated in the battle.

Kawanakajima:  Kenshin vs Shingen. Those two were great, great rivals (It's even reflected on their cards - they have the same ATK and DEF reversed, and are of the few monsters which are level 7 instead of 6, or 8 for the conquerors). Both were masters of strategy, and it's seen well in the games - even on the lowest star difficulty levels, they throw strategies at each other left and right. They had no less than FOUR battles at Kawanakajima, each of the first three fights ending in a draw (I don't remember who actually won the fourth one, sorry =P). It's reflected clearly on the card - the 4th time a battle ends in a draw, it might as well be the last one. On a side note, in the games, Kenshin doesn't even mention Shingen's name. He calls him his NEMESIS.

The issue is that it has the potential to do a buttload of damage at once, and unless the opponent specifically sides against it, that damage is nigh-unstoppable. Follow up with Ceasefire and it's game right there and then.
