-Dom-
Emergency Freeze Spray! Counter Trap Negate the activation of an opponent's Spell, Trap or Effect Monster's effect. After this effect resolves, the negated card remains face-up on the field. On the second turn after this card was activated, your opponent may activate the negated card's effect (any conditions must be met). If your opponent cannot, destroy the card, and you draw 1 card. If the negated card is destroyed before it can be activated, your opponent draws 1 card. Sorry if the wording/OCG is poor, I'm new at this, and would love any CnC. Is it overpowered? Trebuchet MS
This tends to contradict with non-Continuous Spells and Traps, which tend to go to the Graveyard after they finish resolving. Hmm...

Progenitor
Interesting. The only thing I can say is that maybe it should have a slight cost for it. For example lets say to use this to respond to warning. Warning can only be activated as a response, so it would miss its timing in the next turn and be destroyed. That means that with one card from your hand you have: 1) Negated a Limited card for no cost 2) Wasted a opponent S/T zone for a turn 3) Drawn a card. The cost does not have to be much, but even simple negation S/T cards like Seven Tools and Dark Bribe have a cost.
-Dom-
I do get what you mean, and this is why I thought the card might be overpowered. I'm just not sure what an original cost would be The idea behind it , freezing' the effect, didn't have a cost as the card stays face-up, so a monster could still attack or be used for a summon, and many key spell/traps that I thought of when making would probably have no problem activating later (compuls, tenki, pandemic, hysteric party, Kaiser c, etc). But you are right in that you shouldn't be rewarded for the card missing timing. Maybe discarding a card of the same type as the effect to be negated (Spell/Trap etc) ? Thanks so much for my first card comments of any kind; I agree its definitely a work in progress.
