Glad Beasts do not tag when they are destroyed by battle, as the battle phase doesnt end until all of the battle steps have fully ended, meaning destroyed monsters go to the grave. Whether a Glad Beast being destroyed by battle was the last battle in that battle phase is irrelevant. See the above two posts. I feel bad for the guy you were arguing with. Just a heads up- I advise you fully understand and read your cards before dueling with them.
