Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; treat it as a Tuner monster until the End Phase. When this card is destroyed: Draw 1 card.

 

This card can be useful in a number of ways.  It can turn one of your Synchro monsters into a Tuner for Shooting Quasar Dragon or it can turn a lone non-Tuner monster on your opponent's side of the field into a Tuner to prevent a Synchro Summon.  It also grants card advantage like most Synchrons do.

 

(Also, due to in-game mechanics, you can't target an Xyz monster for the first effect.)

You can make an Xyz Monster a Tuner, (not that you could use the mechanic to Synchro Summon but whatever...)

Anyway, this card isn't too bad, although the offensive part would be out-of-date. Either way, it looks like a fun card.

You can make an Xyz monster a Tuner?  Would it just be Level 0 or could you still not use it as a Synchro Material?

I would still be Rank 3, and that's where the pointlessness arises.  It would be absolutely useless, as Xyz aren't "lvl 0", they just straight up don't have levels, so it would be like trying to Synchro Summon with a Continuous Spell that's in your Spell and Trap Zone.

Right. But then the Xyz Monster can get access to the Tuner support cards... (Since we have /so/ many that people would love to use...)

But yes an Xyz Monster can be counted as a Tuner but doesn't have a Level so it can't be used to Synchro Summon just like an Xyz Monster can't be used to Synchro Summon right now. (Well, until there is a card made that can make Ranks into Levels they can't be used...)

Ah, I got it!  It's still useful for making other monsters as Tuners (and the +1 is nice).
