Bahamut Archetype - Slots

Been a while since I've been in this section.

 

Anyway; randomly felt like making some cards for the first time in a long time, what with the new game mechanics and all. And for some reason, I got a random idea to do Slots.

 

The theme of these cards is obviously gonna be luck-based, but hopefully be a bit more consistent than dice or coins, by instead excavating cards from your deck and activating multiple effects depending on the monsters revealed. Like a slot machine. All the monsters are DARK Machine-type, the same as YGO's original 'Slot Machine', and all have similarly high levels and all have 300 higher DEF than ATK to match it. Since all the Slots are Level 5 or higher and their effects trigger on being summoned, I thought Pendulum would be the best way to go, and obviously I wanted to try it out. Most of their effects will revolve around summoning one after another, triggering each ones effects and ending up - if your luck holds - with a strong field. Although given the nature of excavating, this sort of a luck is manageable, to a degree.

 

Originally I was going to give each of them different effects for excavating 3 Level 5, Level 6 or Level 7 monsters, and a detrimental effect if you got nothing, but it seemed too much. So just went effect for 3 matching, 2 matching, and uh-oh for no matches. The detrimental effect may be consistently either huge loss of LP or the destruction of your monsters, or may change each time. First time using new card text style as well.

SLOT-001 Slots - Triple Cherries

Machine/Pendulum/Effect

Scale: 4

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn: if a DARK Machine-type monster you control is targeted by your opponenet's card effect; negate that card's effect, and if you do destroy it.

Monster Effect: 1) When this card is Summoned: Excavate cards from your Deck until you've excavated 3 monsters. Then activate the appropriate effects depending on the levels of the monsters revealed, then place all the excavated cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.

-If all 3 monsters have the same Level; Special Summon 1 of the excavated monsters.

-If 2 monsters have the same Level; Target 1 card on the field; return it to its owners hand.

-If all 3 monsters have different Levels; destroy this card.

ATK:1500 DEF:1800

 

SLOT-002 Slots - Triple Moneybags

Machine/Effect

1) When this card is Summoned: Excavate cards from your Deck until you've excavated 3 monsters. Then activate the appropriate effects depending on the levels of the monsters revealed, then place all the excavated cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.

-If all 3 monsters have the same Level, Special Summon 1 of the excavated monsters.

-If 2 monsters have the same Level; Target 1 face-up card on the field; its effect is negated until the End Phase.

-If all 3 monsters have different Levels; lose 2000 Life Points

ATK:1800 DEF:2100

 

SLOT-003 Slots - Triple Lemons

Scale: 8

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn: if a DARK Machine-type monster you control is attacked; you can negate that attack.

Monster Effect: 1) When this card is Summoned: Excavate cards from your Deck until you've excavated 3 monsters. Then activate the appropriate effects depending on the levels of the monsters revealed, then place all the excavated cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.

-If all 3 monsters have the same Level; Special Summon 1 of the excavated monsters.

-If 2 monsters have the same Level; change the battle position of 1 face-up monster on the field.

-If all 3 monsters have different Levels; destroy this card.

ATK:1600 DEF:1900

 

SLOT-004 Slots - Triple Bells

Machine/Effect

1) When this card is Summoned: Excavate cards from your Deck until you've excavated 3 monsters. Then activate the appropriate effects depending on the levels of the monsters revealed, then place all the excavated cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.

-If all 3 monsters have the same Level; Special Summon 1 of the excavated monsters.

-If 2 monsters have the same Level; all face-up monsters you control gain 300 ATK and DEF.

-If all 3 monsters have different Levels; lose 2000 Life Points.

ATK:1900 DEF:2200

Obviously a drawback of destruction sets up Supply Unit for easy compensation and damage limitation, so maybe change to destroy and damage, or sending to grave. Also, have I worded this so that the first two effects stack? Because that could be pretty crazy :)
