VCR_CAT Posted May 6, 2014 Report Share Posted May 6, 2014 A while ago, I had a hankering for an archetype of cards that are based on giant mechs and robots. Unfortunately, Konami hasn't released anything that adequately fills that void (trains and Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer being the closest I can get). Fortunately, YuGiOh Card Maker is a thing, and so is Shimmering Sword's Deviant Art gallery that held all the pictures that I used for the cards. The Mecha Armor archetype is split into two subarchetypes: Divisions and Pilots. The basic function of the deck is deploying larger monsters each with an equipped pilot that gives its own supporting effect and spin on how the mech would handle. Without pilots, most of the Division cards have their own crippling downsides (as a mech isn't operational without a pilot). While the deck itself may not move at the same speed of spamming as other decks; its jump into the beatstick level will prove to be its strong point. Seeing as some of them need OCG fixes, it makes it easier for us to help you with that. Other than that, you have a pretty neat idea, with the whole archetype you have here.
