Lore:
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Machine-Type monsters
When this card is Special Summoned: you can change the battle position of up to 2 monsters you control. If this monster attacks while in face-up Defense position: negate the effect of all Trap cards until the end of the damage step.

(For those of you unfamiliar with the Heavyweight Samurai, they have massive DEF and super low ATK. Their boss card "Heavyweight Samurai Big Ben K" allows them to attack in face-up defense position, with their DEF being used instead of their ATK. they also have the ability to change their battle position when normal or special summoned.)

Well I am very fond of the Heavyweight Samurais and I think this is a pretty nice addition to the, given all the ones we have have varying levels so Xyz are out of the question, for now. However, I think a Tuner to go along with this would be nice.

Firstly, really like the card and the archetype, so I might make some support as well. About the name, do you mean Naginata, like the sword he's holding, or something else?

Thanks! And yes, naginta is refering to his weapon, which is called by the same name. Since the Heavyweights are based on Benkei, I wanted to do something related to him, and as it turns out, he used a naginta (which roughly translates into "polearm").

It protects itself, which is decent. The thing is, it's completely useless without their boss Main Deck monster. I mean, sure it walls, but that's the extent.

The card is mediocre and does nothing to further the archetype. Sure, if you have the Main Deck monster than it is rather swell, but it is reliant like that. Perhaps if it a Mirage Dragon effect it'd be more favorable. Level 6 would also help the card, as then they could use a Lv. 2 or 3 Tuner as opposed to a Level 3 or 4 Tuner for their respective monsters. The card, since requiring specific material and contending a spot with Barkion, wouldn't be good enough to splash and wouldn't really need a nerf in any way just because he hit Lv. 7.

But, again, it doesn't really move the archetype forward. Solid card design though, it is right at the power level they are all at.
