Hand of Total Destruction

Target any number of monsters on the field; destroy them, and if you do, you lose 1000 Life Points for each monster destroyed by this effect. Opponent cannot activate card effects until this effect resolves. You cannot Summon monsters or conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Hand of Total Destruction" per turn.

Soul Charge sets up your field to crazy proportions that your opponent probably won't be able to conquer, this just knocks your opponent's frontrow out as a really painful pseudo-Raigeki that actually doesn't cost life points to slap protection materials off of #101, Zenmaines, and so on. The problem that this card, and Dark Hole even, have is that unless your opponent is overextending or otherwise cannot recover from a sudden frontrow wipe, they'll just shrug this off most of the time. This might simply be the fact that Dark Hole simply isn't as good as it has been lately, but still...

Monster destruction doesn't necessarily equate to monster rebirth.

Changed the effect a bit.

Well, now your opponent can't Safe Zone or otherwise rush to save something. It helps a bit in making sure things go as planned, but it isn't really the fix the card needs to thrive. But then again, this is a take on Soul Charge, of all things, so if this card turns out to be good it probably would be in a stupid way, honestly. I mean, we already have Dark Hole and Torrential Tribute as mass field-wipes, and in several cases they emulate Raigeki, which is banned. We probably shouldn't have any more generic mass-frontrow nukes.

So, do you think this is bad card than?

Make it so you lose 1000 for each monster targeted by it's effect?

Make it so you can't summon the turn you use it's eff?

Or in fact, give your opponent some kind of tithe for the loss, such as them being able to draw a card for each mon destroyed?

Either way, much too strong right now.

Imo the third option is probably the best one to go for, if not the only thing to be added.
