It somewhat does, due to being a Level 2 DARK Fiend, giving it a lot of synergy with the Malicevorous monsters. But it's still really limited in what it can accomplish, even though the Special Summon is very nice. Card is interesting, and blatantly combos with Malicious Edge. But...that's about all it can do. There's also D-HERO Malicious, D-HERO Dasher, E-HERO Necroshade/etc that can make use of the second effect, but they don't really get much support from this card.
