Slinky
Activate 1 of these effects.● Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change that target's battle position.● Tribute 1 monster, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; take control of that target until the End Phase. So, its practically a quickplay Brain control, and defends against Attacks. It might not have the level of disruption Book of Moon has (unless you want to tribute a monster), but this can't exactly be overlooked. And unlike Mind Control, you have free reign over what to do with the monster, and its quickplay. So, like how relevant would this be? Stealing an opponents Midrash (or Beelze, or anything from the extra deck) sounds pretty terrifying.
Zauls
Well for starters, its not actually a Quick-Play Brain Control because this has a cost that actually matters, like, a lot (unless Treeborn Frog). Basically, if you activate Enemy Controller, you either have to make game-changing plays that turn or feel the effects of the -1 or -2 that follows during the End Phase. The first effect is a random -1 that is only really used to stop Battle destruction, which is far less than ideal and I would much rather use D-Prison. So basically, Treeborn Frog or no. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Treeborn's effect was reworked, or at least re-ruled, to only be allowed once per turn (at least per copy I think) in OCG.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Treeborn's effect was reworked, or at least re-ruled, to only be allowed once per turn (at least per copy I think) in OCG. It was changed to not work if it gets negated, so no more trolling LaDD with it.
evilfusion
Treeborn's effect was reworked, or at least re-ruled, to only be allowed once per turn (at least per copy I think) in OCG. It still works if it was successfully removed from the Graveyard, and then put back in during the same Standby Phase. If it never left the Graveyard, due to being negated, it can't activate again the same turn. The reason E-Con doesn't see much play is because it's an inferior Book of Moon the majority of the time. Whereas Book can upset the current situation in a multitude of ways, E-Con doesn't do it as well. It can't really stop an opponent from making Synchro or Xyz plays, and its defensive/offensive applications are less versatile than Book, because Book can be used on your own monster and re-set its Flip Effects/etc, or move it to its powerful DEF position, whereas E-Con only affects the opponent's attacker. If you have a faceup Ryko or something and they have 2 monsters, one of those monsters is going to kill Ryko and deal damage, whereas Book could let you dodge the damage, hit one of their cards of choice, and mill 3. The Control effect is very potent, but can't be used unless you have something to Tribute. This CAN be a finishing blow, but if it's not, you're going to be down on cards, unless you somehow can make their monster an asset to you, or you can force it to be destroyed, but even then, you gave up 2 of your cards to get rid of MAYBE 2-3 of theirs. newhat
[acronym='Effect 1']Command[/acronym] is basically just attack negation, and I don't like how many things can intercept [acronym='Effect 2']Control[/acronym].
