Number 59: Scrap Medusa

Earth/Effect/Xyz/Fiend/4/2700 ATK/2000 DEF

3 level 4 "Scrap" monsters

If this card's summon would be negated, you can banish all scrap monsters in your graveyard instead. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can detatch one Xyz material from this card to select a zone type (Monster zone or Spell/Trap zone), all cards in the selected zone become "Scrap" cards regardless of position until the end phase. If this card would be destroyed by battle or would be affected by a card effect, you can destroy one "Scrap" card on the field (except the battling monster if it's a "Scrap" card) to destroy the battling monster, or negate the card effect and destroy the card that activated it. You can only use this effect of "Number 59: Scrap Medusa" only while you have a "Scrap" Synchro Monster in your graveyard.

So, I thought I could make a number for the Scrap archetype. I think I did a good job but I'm starting to have second thoughts about the effect. If you think the effect is too much, let me know and tell me how I can fix it please. Thank you.

Considering you are competing with Scrap Dragon/Twin Dragon, this card falls short of what would be expected.
First off, 3 Level 4 Scrap monsters is situational, even for this Archetype, since they typically play monsters that lead into immediate Synchro plays, and more often then not, with only 2 monsters. So this card is already outclassed by speed.
Next, it has some sort of anti-negation effect that, is painfully counterproductive? Why?
Then, you have an effect that randomly turns everything into a Scrap card; While I like the originality of it, it's honestly random. Plus, it's not exactly as mind-game inducing as you would think, mostly because not ever Scrap monster works like the Tuners/Kong/Shark does.
Finally, and ironically, your card's self-protection effect will cause the previous mentioned Tuners/etc to miss the timing.

So while I like the approach you took, just seems like you couldn't really get it out.

So I need to fix the number of monsters needed to summon the card from 3 to 2. Although can you please tell me about the effect that is counterpreductive on the card?
