Can you give me any feedback on what I can do better next time?

Well, first of all, your monster needs to have one of the 22 real Types.

 

But for a Level 10 Ritual Monster, being able to banish three doesn't seem like it would be that over-the-top of an effect. You pretty much have to lose 2-3 monsters (or a Raven), as well as a Ritual Spell, just to Summon this. However, Advanced Ritual Art exists. This means that, if you have this and ARA in your hand, you can just mill 2-3 Normal Monsters from your Deck instead for a 3500 monstrosity who takes out three cards right away (due to a lack of an "up to," it can't banish one or two cards. Oh, and it's mandatory). It turns the -1 that ARA typically is into a +2. I'd probably cut the number of cards that the Ritual Monster can banish to 2, add an "up to" so you can banish just one, and a "You can" so that you don't have to activate its effects (even though you'll want to 99% of the time).

 

All that's left is the Ritual Spell, which is a bland card that does nothing but Ritual Summon the monster. Due to the existence of Advanced Ritual Art, this card would hardly be ran alongside your Ritual Monster, with the lone exception being if you really need a third Ritual Spell. If you feel like the suggestion to drop the number of banishes to 2 for the Ritual Monster was unnecessary, then here is your chance to bump it back up to three again. You could, as a bonus for Ritual Summoning Zalgo this way, let the Ritual Spell be able to banish a card if it Summons Zalgo (like how Dawn of the Herald can give you one of the monsters Tributed for Herald's Ritual Summon). However, since Zalgo already banishes stuff, it would be wise to add a bonus that helps you in a different way instead. I do not recommend any sort of ATK/DEF modification or Life Point increase/decrease, since these effects tend to be really weak (and in Zalgo's case, ATK/DEF changing is unnecessary since he has 3500 ATK).
