Starry-Eyes Enigma Dragon
The game has evolved to the point where PoG and Charity have been banned, much to my chagrin. Here's an attempt to create real Draw Power again that might be considered balanced. Not sure if I like it. Image credit goes to SheerHeart on DeviantART. Lore: This card stays on the field for three turns. If this card is still face-up on the field by the End Phase of third turn after it was played; Draw 2 cards. If this card is removed from the field before the end of the third turn after it was played; You lose 2000 Life Points. Thanks for reading. Just Crouton
Searchable by Hidden Armory/Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu/every other Equip searcher I didn't mention. Can be played on your turn immediately, unlike Reckless Greed. Three more Pot of Greeds for Librarian FTK decks, which doesn't care about ATK/DEF. Less of a drawback that Reckless Greed has, especially when you play three of this in a turn. Godawful design.
Nathanael D. Striker
Similar premise to Reckless Greed TBH. Halving ATK and DEF is easily laughable since it isn't a suitable setback. Before removal, easy +2 that shouldn't exist. Also, skipping just a Draw Phase does little since that makes this a +0 when it is finally removed. A +0 is good since it means you didn't lose any advantage. Overall, this card is a bit too much. EDIT: With Crouton's review, just scrap the card please. Starry-Eyes Enigma Dragon
Edited, completely new effect. I think this one's certainly better than the previous effect, but I'm still not sure if I even like it. Might come back to it again later, might not. Rairaidani
Now it's basically Shard of Greed.
Mugendramon
Now it's basically Shard of Greed. Correction, it's a worse shard of greed. This effect is no good either, you'll need way more restrictions but a more overall useful concept. Your goal here is to make a draw card good enough to be used but which could in no way be abused by good ol' Exodia.
Starry-Eyes Enigma Dragon
I didn't even like this one. And I honestly forgot Shard of Greed existed when I posted this.
thlch
Well, I had an idea for improving this card, but I'm not sure how this would turn out in a real duel. I think it's decent this way, but nothing more. You might use this effect or parts of it for your card if you want, of course. Greets! Lore (edit): When this card is activated: Place 3 'Reaching' counters on it. During either player's Standby Phase: Remove 1 'Reaching' counter from this card. During your Standby Phase, when 3 'Reaching' counters were removed from this card: Send this card to the Graveyard; draw 2 cards. When this face-up card on the field is destroyed: Draw 1 card.
