Thar
I've heard of them, but the first time I've actually seen one in use was from the documentary "Super-High Me", which is a spin-off of "Supersize Me" only with marijuana. From what I've heard in the documentary, vaping is actually better than smoking cause you can taste it more. However, the investment sounds like a higher risk in a state where it's still outlawed. Night
"You don't know what's in it/you're going to get cancer." Vegetable glycerin (used commonly in many different foods) Propylene glycol (used in asthma inhalers and recognized as generally safe in foods by the FDA) Flavoring (all of the stuff that I've tried and seen has been made in the US and is ensured to be food-grade) Nicotine (optional) And distilled water. That's it, that's all of the ingredients. Both the nicotine and PG are actually optional, I've got a friend who doesn't like the throat-hit that the PG provides so he goes with 100% VG non-nicotine e-juice. I sincerely doubt that you're going to get cancer from vegetable glycerin, artificial flavors, and distilled water. 3-5 ingredients as opposed to the 4000+ chemicals in cigarettes. Smear
I can't stand cigarettes. Absolutely can't. It's not that I think people who do it are stupid or anything, I just choke on the smoke and it makes my throat hurt and I just can't do it.These things sound freaking awesome imo. Like I would actually love to try it. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to get one, but they sound like something I'd try if I was offered it. I'd definitely smash a vanilla one. Ditto, cigs are absolutely bleh. The smoke smells so bad it's literally fucking unbelievable. I'll admit the tobacco my grandpa uses smells enchantingly good unlit, but that's about it. I don't think anybody is going to argue that vaping is worse than cigarettes. There's not really much that is worse than cigarettes. You mentioned that these ingredients are safe to put in food, which means your body is OK digesting them. Inhaling =/= digesting so there is still no certainty that its completely safe (though I'm no biologist, I'm just trying to be logical). You'd also be surprised about what the FDA regards as "acceptable" or "safe". My prediction is that the health risks with vaping will be more comparable to drinking Coca Cola or eating Mars Bars rather than smoking cigarettes (in severity rather than nature of course). They won't kill you, but they won't do you much good either.

Better than people smoking actual cigarettes after all.
~ P O L A R I S ~
Smoking makes you smarter. Vaping is like smoking, but for rabbits.
Dwarven King
I don't like it. It gives douches another way to be complete a******s with little to no consequences. My job makes me deal with people all day. I had a guy come up to me with an e-cig, vapor, whatever you wanna call it, and literally BLEW the smoke in my face. And if I wanna keep my job, I'm not allowed to say a damn thing about it.

Instinct
I feel like it's much more for just the scent and the taste (the non-nicotine ones at least). I don't really get anything out of it.
