Βyakuya
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/DD_Magical_Sage_Galilei Pendulum Effect You cannot Pendulum Summon any monsters, except "DD" monsters (this effect cannot be negated). During each of your Standby Phases: Increase this card's Pendulum Scales by 2 (max. 10), then destroy all monsters you control whose Levels are lower than this card's Pendulum Scales, except "DD" monsters. Monster Effect During either player's turn: You can discard this card, then target 1 "DD" card or 1 "Covenant" card you control; return that target to the hand. You can only use this effect of "DD Magical Sage Galilei" once per turn. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/DD_Magical_Sage_Kepler Pendulum Effect You cannot Pendulum Summon any monsters, except "DD" monsters (this effect cannot be negated). During each of your Standby Phases: Reduce this card's Pendulum Scales by 2 (min. 1), then destroy all monsters you control whose Levels are higher than this card's Pendulum Scales, except "DD" monsters. Monster Effect If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects. You can only use this effect of "DD Magical Sage Kepler" once per turn. ● Target 1 other "DD" card you control; return that target to the hand. ● Add 1 "Covenant" card from your Deck to your hand. woot first one to post this topic. minor ya. :d So it looks like these will be the Pendulum Cards Reiji will use in the anime at they very least. And ironically they are much better than the previous revealed DDD cards...well in terms of being Pendulums. Proud Ogre and Chevalier can still be Tribute Summoned, using their effects to search either Sage. Galilei looks more to be an emergency bouncer, in the case of chaining shenanigans (That Dark Hole/ Torrential Bounce). Makes sense since DD/DDD are centered on spamming tactics than playing out the game longer and controlling it. Kepler seems more versatile; Amazing Scale 10 that can be One for One'd for a Galilei effect or Covenant card. But in all DD/DDD are starting to turning out to be a unique spamming archetype that can use almost every kind of summoning tacitc (C'mon Konami, you know you want Rituals back in more...), and these new Pendulums being debuted in the anime are starting to turn out real nice. Maeriberii Haan
Kepler's basically a pseudo more versatile stratos that triggers on Pendulum Summon, while Galilei lets you reuse the Tenki Covenant easily. Both are pretty good, really.

I also wonder if they're going to release a Pendulum with different values for its Red and Blue Scale, or one which changes only one of them, someday. I think they refer to the scale as 1 value though, but that might change. Are these practical for use? Like Covenants, I feel like you should bounce or pop them after too long. I also wonder if they're going to release a Pendulum with different values for its Red and Blue Scale, or one which changes only one of them, someday. when they do that, 2 copys of the same monster would then make pendulum summons possible. so that limits the choices of where they can put it. asterr259
Rather than having 2 different Scale Values, it'd probably be more ethical to say "If this card is on this side/color zone, it's scale becomes X"
Dracoswag
These card's are starting to show some promise. I am kind of curious how these "covenant" cards are going to come into play, like will they act as fodder to counter their drawbacks (as it suggests) or as a toolbox like with Fire Fists? The Covenants we've seen have "Archfiend" based drawbacks. DDs in general seem to revolve around paying life points or taking damage for Covenant effects. Bahamut - Envoy of the End
The Covenants we've seen have "Archfiend" based drawbacks. DDs in general seem to revolve around paying life points or taking damage for Covenant effects. You forgot to mention then not doing so by finding the loophole out of it before paying the cost. Interesting concept at least. Also was surprised given the art how small these monsters actually are in the anime (sort of Time/Stargazer Magician's height). I thought these would be huge towering things.
Neutrality Man
I sort of like how if you protect them for 5 turns the Drawback of the 1-10 Scale is self-nulled.
