Empty Beasts [Agro]

Cards are based off of these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haltija

Cards have mild to powerful effects meant to make use of the other monsters in the Graveyard, as well as toolbox the Graveyard itself with each other to an extent. However, all cards (except the S/T) cannot be summoned or activate their effects if a Field Spell is controlled by your opponent.

I thought to both make cards that work with the fact that 2 players can control field spells as well as work with the Field Spell, "Closed Forest".

Empty Beast Metsan
EARTH / Level 4
[ Beast / Effect ]

You cannot summon or activate the effects of "Empty Beast Metsen" if your opponent controls a Field Spell. While this card is face-up on the field, or the turn in which this card left the field, your opponent cannot activate Field Spells. Once per turn: You can send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard, and if that card was an "Empty Beast" monster, draw 1 card. While this card is in your Graveyard, "Empty Beast" monsters gain 100 ATK.
ATK / 1900 DEF / 200

Empty Beast Veden
WATER / Level 4
[ Beast / Effect ]

You cannot summon or activate the effects of "Empty Beast Veden" if your opponent controls a Field Spell. While this card is face-up on the field, monsters your opponent controls lose 400 ATK. Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Empty Beast" monster in your Graveyard; send 1 "Empty Beast" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. While this card is in your Graveyard, "Empty Beast" monsters you control gain 100 ATK.
ATK / 1500 DEF / 1000

Empty Beast Naisen
LIGHT / Level 4
[ Beast / Effect ]

You cannot summon or activate the effects of "Empty Beast Naisen" if your opponent controls a Field Spell. You can discard this monster from your hand to the Graveyard, then Special Summon 1 other "Empty Beast" monster from your hand. If this card is in the Graveyard: You can send 1 "Empty Beast" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; shuffle this card into your Deck. You can only activate 1 effect of "Empty Beast Naisen" per turn, and only once per turn.
ATK / 0 DEF / 2000

Empty Beast Kalmen

You can only activate this effect of "Empty Beast Kalmen" once per turn. While this card is in your Graveyard, monsters your opponent control lose 100 ATK, except "Empty Beast" monsters.

Empty Beast Tulen
FIRE / Level 4
[ Beast / Effect ]

You cannot summon "Empty Beast Tulen" if your opponent controls a Field Spell. During either player's turn: You can banish this card from your hand; Destroy 1 face-up Spell Card your opponent controls, then inflict 500 damage to your opponent's Life Points. This effect of "Empty Beast Tulen" can only be activated once per turn. If this card is in your Graveyard, "Empty Beast" monsters you control gain 100 ATK.

The archetype looks underwhelming. It doesn't have many ways of generating card advantage except through Tetsan and Vouren. I see that Veden and Naisen can mill an Empty Beast that generates advantage when sent to the grave, but when the only available beast with such effect is Vouren, they don't look that great. By the way, Metsan could mill Vouren for a +2, but the chances for that to happen should be ridiculously low.

Granted, with all those ATK boosts and reductions, it shouldn't be difficult for "Empty Beasts" to gather enough ATK to basically beat anything, but in a metagame where effect removal is everywhere and the Battle Phase is not as relevant, this is not an outstanding perk. And that's only in theory, because with those costs of banishing "Empty Beasts" from the grave, I can't tell how efficient is the deck at stacking ATK buff/debuffs.

I suggest to give the Xyzs better effects than LP damage/recovery. Considering that apparently the win condition of this archetype is to beat the opponent through the aid of ATK modifications, I believe protection and on-battle effects would be ideal for supporting this playstyle. For example, effects like Armades, Dark Ruler Ha Des, the last effect of "Numeron Fall", a walking "Forbidden Dress", etc. Also, adding 1 or 2 Empty Beasts that generate advantage when milled would turn Veden, Naisen, and to a lesser extent Metsan, much more useful.
