You can discard this card; add up to 2 Level 4 or lower "Gishki" monsters from your Graveyard to your hand. If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters: You can shuffle this card from the Graveyard into the Deck to add 1 "Gishki" Ritual Monster or Ritual Spell Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. You can only use 1 "Gishki Astraia" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Gishki" card from your Graveyard to your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can banish 1 "Gishki" Ritual Spell Card and 1 "Gishki" monster from your Graveyard; Ritual Summon 1 "Gishki" Ritual Monster from your hand.
I figured since Avance and Emilia survived the DT war and witnessed the defeat of a God, they should have a type of legacy, too. Since Leodrake became the Guardian of the Tree, Roach became Exciton Knight, Pirika was Kamui's descendant.

So let's say this is Avance's and Emilia's future relation.
I named it "Astraia", which relates to "Aster", which means star in respect to their involvement with Constellars. And it ends with an "ia" to fit the Gishki theme. Thoughts?

You do seem to have put some thought in the story and naming of the card, but not so much the effect.
It just doesn't fit well with what Gishkis do and here's why:
-the first effect is basically Gishki Marker, nothing wrong with that, it's just that Abyss does it better.
- the second effect would be fine if it didn't banish. Banishing Gishki is something that hurts them greatly (you need Shadow in the Grave for Beast. You can also use Abyss in the Grave for Beast too since it gets its effect when SS'd, Vision is also good for Beast since it gives you the material for the whole Ritual Summon right away. So all (good) Gishki can be useful while in the Grave). And they can already easily spam Ritual Monsters

so I don't really see the necessity of this second effect. Also, it needs a somewhat set-up Graveyard to execute both of its effects, and unless it does both, it's easily outclassed by Abyss.

- 1800 ATK is good though and 0 DEF means it can be searched by Abyss. And level 4 means it can be SS'd with Beast's effect.

I suggest you rework the effect so it doesn't banish anything as it's more counter-productive than it is useful as of now and I'm sure it'd turn into a decent card.

Though I think what Gishki need is an exclusive Rank 4 that is not Merrowgeist and/or a main deck monster that can be SS'd by its own effect allowing for more Xyz plays other than just using Beast (although Beast is an excellent card)

I will totally agree with Gandorator.

There are in fact plenty of searchers for Gishki already. Plus, if you take into consideration: their storyline is so complex that introducing another realistic human-like character/monster,.. would look way off and out of place right now.

Nevertheless i see what you did here. Having a +1 card is always appreciated.

The banishing effect can be redone into something more versatile with lot less drawbacks, although i'm not sure if another Ritual Summoning method is needed. I'd personally go with something like this, if i would have to make a non-Spellcaster Gishki Support:

 • For when you already summoned your ace and you need to refuel:

"If a card is shuffled to the Deck: you can shuffle this card you control to the Deck; draw and reveal 1 card. If the card is a "Gishki" card, send the 3 top cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. If you control a "Gishki" Ritual Monster, you can activate this card's effect while in the Graveyard. The effect of  "Gishki ............."  can only be activated once per turn."

 • and maybe for when you're in a pinch + an effect to make it playable under other circumstances as well:

"When your opponent Summons a monster from their Extra Deck: you can send 1 "Gishki" Spell Card from your hand to the Graveyard; this card is not destroyed by battle or by card effects that target until the End Phase (this is a Quick Effect). If this card is sent to the Graveyard; you can look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand."

So, I played Gishkis a bit, and I decided to rework it to be more of a benefit, like you said. Since their theme is searching and recycling, I decided to make her effect similar to that, with a big boost. Since usually, you dump Shadow and Vision to the Graveyard right away and you can't really search Salvage, I thought it was a good idea to let her recycle them faster (as a huge boost to Gishkis). And her shuffle effect, inspired by Dramatic Crossroad, is a stronger/weaker Gishki Abyss to give speed to the deck in bad situations. Is it better? Playable?

The Gishki story really is complex, but I think that a descendant like Pirika or something wouldn't be too far-off, considering the conflict ended and things have to start anew. So maybe some type of Monarchy happened--
Anyway, thank you for the suggestions. It really helped me when I was changing her effect. Although they have plenty of searchers, it's hard to recover them from the Graveyard, having to rely on lucky draws. So I hope that this new effect is better.

Well it's definitely playable now at the very least. It's actually a one-card Zielgigas whenever you go second... Is also a searchable Salvage by Abyss but it's not searchable by Salvage itself so you wouldn't be able to pull off crazy combos with it. And that last restriction on its adding of a Ritual Spell/Monster when you have no monsters on the field balances it out. I really like this card. It makes Turbo Gigas even faster and scarier.

This could definitely make Gishki able to spam Rituals even faster.

It's a great card, though it doesn't really bring anything new to the table other than a bit more consistency and speed. It doesn't change the way Gishki are

played (like Gustkraken and Mind Augus did before they were limited) and it doesn't solve any of the problems Gishki have.

Maybe you should make a Gishki Ritual Monster too.
