[Eek! Ticks!]

Recommended Posts

Made this card a long time ago, it looks stupid now, but posting anyway. Made it written since couldn't find a good picture.

Swarm of Ticks

Dark/Effect

Level 3

Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card is Flip Summoned: Target one monster on the field; it cannot be tributed for a Tribute Summon, also, its controller loses 500 Life Points during each of their Standby Phases.

ATK 1000 DEF 1000

Its stats are...?

Pretty nifty annoyance card, nonetheless. Very few cards manually edit the text box on other monsters, and this would make your opponent strive to get rid of their own monster if the tick bites persist long enough. I'm assuming the target monster also gets the "cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon" effect as well.

I think you could phrase it like this.

"Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card is Flip Summoned: Target 1 monster on the field: it cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon, also its controller loses 500 Life Points during each of their Standby Phases."

Since the monster in question can still be used for a Synchro or Xyz Summon, this would probably require you to lock your opponent down with useless monsters of your own choice like Tokens.

Hmmm...seems like it would work
