If YCMaker can work out how to code it in, you could lock & unlock your own threads, but if a moderator locks the thread, you can't unlock it. It would be a good idea for people who are, for example, running a shop and have too many orders to fill, so lock their thread so that nobody else can clutter the thread with requests, while they are busy.
