heraldry_lord
Sephylon, the Ultimate Timelord [Level 10/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK 4000/DEF 4000] Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 10 or more monsters in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 8 or higher Fairy-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard. Its effect(s) are negated and its ATK becomes 4000. I saw this teched in Shaddoll decks in the OCG a while back, and I could see why, since Shaddolls don't have too much difficulty getting 10 monsters in their Graveyard, and Sephylon has a target in Nephilim, but is it me or is this card being dropped from OCG Shaddoll decks? Is it still considered worth running in Shaddolls? Also, this card is another potential out to Killer (granted, Killer isn't the end-all be-all of Qliphorts, and isn't even necessary in many cases, but having viable outs to him can still help). evilfusion
I like this card. I used to run it ages ago in a Lightsworn Deck that was almost all monsters, alongside a Metaion or two. Dropping JD, nuking the Field, then this was game almost 100% of the time.
Wildflame
Maining 1 coz of Killer. This and a DRXD in the ED are the only outs Shaddolls have to it game 1 that I can think of.

This is an infinitely better out from dolls to Killer. Again, Killers' really not that good, anyways... This seems really, really double win. Wildflame
^With Roots and Falcon I guess? Ehh..., doesn't sound that consistant to me, but I guess it's worth running.
Coffee Black
Maybe 1 at random is worth trying out, you don't want this drawn turn 1 really ever. But Sephylon is a great boss, easily wins games when your opponent has no defense.

Blake
Because it's a (usually) winmoar dead draw. It makes the first hand worse if you draw it and is often just unneeded to win. And Roots + Falcon comes up almost every game, whether you use it for Star Eater or not.

It's not that good, since shaddolls effects would not activate due to the "card effects cannot be activated" clause on star eater's effect

Synchro Summoning isn't an effect in the first place.

Who said that the summon is an effect? i meant the effect of roots (the lv9 monster-trap) with the fact that they don't activate if you synchro summon this card, because its effect will prevent any other effect activation Nevertheless this card is still bonkers
Blake
Roots says when it's sent to the grave by an effect.
JadenxAtemYAOI
I liked running this in an old agents build of mine. If there were a Fairy version of Zombie World this card would be so heavily abused.
the_engineer
Roots says when it's sent to the grave by an effect. Oh right, forgot that it says "By an effect" and not just sent to the graveyard case solved

Blake
Sephylon is better if they have Skill Drain out.Issue with that:Did they skill drain pre-Killer? Killer loses to Skill Drain meaning it's easy to kill.Did they skill drain post-killer? This means they did not open Killer, which means you can get in a dominant board position before they killer. Not to mention Sephylon's horrible before the last few turns of the game. Also Shaddoll Dragon. JadenxAtemYAOI
I've been testing this in Cloudians. Only works if my opponent is an idiot or if Denkou and Anti-Spell Fragrance are on the field to negate everything. The latter only works if Nimbusman is staring my opponent in the face.
