Aix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Pq-S557XQU So what do you think of this? For those who are too lazy to watch, it's about how robots can basically be put in any job, and they already are capable of replacing anything from doctors to lawyers, and of course low-skill labour jobs. Goose
This creeped me out. I guess I'm kinda a classicist who longs for some kind of mix of the 60s and modern time but that creeps me out man.
Mugendramon
You know this video actually says that we either make the 3 Laws happen or we become extinct eventually.
goddamnit names are a pain
I look forward to this future, but at the same time it's a bit scary. I had already assumed most of these things were on the way, but I had no idea they were this close…nor was I completely aware of all the repercussions. Fascinating video, thanks for sharing. I mean come on though, of course they'd replace us. Even before I had all these details it was apparent. Hell by the end of the century the number 1 job is going to be programming and the number 2 job hacking said program Joking, of course. But hackers could make a killing, even more so than now. I was thinking "but what about all the flaws" and then he says "they don't need to be perfect, just better than humans" I and just sat there like…..wow, he's freaking right. Mugendramon
What if we all just become lazy sons of bitches who sit around doing nothing while robots do everything. This is literally Spacer Culture. But Spacer Culture had the 3 Laws to ensure robots would not decide to do away with the nonworking inferior filth. I realize that our race is scummy like that but I refuse to become that well, I won't be fat at least Hopefully, all these robots should make transportation cheaper and we can all easily go sight seeing. It's not like a desk job is any better for your health. And we probably will have way better medical technology that can just stop people from getting fat. I do need to watch Ghost. Dracoswag
Soon... OT: All in all, I think this kind of future would be rather efficient, and as TGM said earlier would make sight seeing easier and more effective.

Mugendramon
Also of note in Asimov's Robot series: -Earth has a general hatred for robots because of everything this video says about taking jobs -The conclusion to the series is that the only way for humanity to not get stale and die is to abandon the old robot-filled worlds and colonize new ones far away without them. According to Asimov, extreme mechanization is infinitely preferable to automation. I'm inclined to agree.

There's also virtual reality which opens up a massive number of possible activities for humans to engage in.
Astolfo
Robots will be replacing practically all jobs and humans will pretty much just be going through the technology (much longer lifespan, replacing parts with mechanical parts for longer lasting-ness, etc), and we might as well just stay within Virtual Reality, or something of the sort, there will basically be nothing for most humans to do, if not all. chairman ali
seems stupid tbh maintenance will be required so that means humans will need to be available for maintaining the robots. robots are only taught what could be an answer to a certain question/disease/etc. and that means mistakes WILL happen no matter what. Just open webMD and you'll know what I mean. Imagine telling a robotic doctor that your back hurts or you have a flu = cancer. companies can easily hack into systems to ruin production lines and then leave no proof to be used against them in court. humans will never be replaced.
