First in years - Be as brutal as you like

Haven't made a card in years, back in the day my OCG and originality were fair solid but I have no idea of the power scaling/balance or correct OCG after so long, so yea correct this random idea as much as you can.

Lore: This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing 5 monsters in your Graveyard from play and by its own effect. If this card is targeted by battle you can negate the attack and pay 800 Life Points. Whenever a monster except "Black Gizmo" is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove it from play and remove 1 face-up card from play until the End Phase.

Edited Version:

Black Banish Bot

nHG7Y2e.jpg

Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 5 monsters from your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If this card is targeted for an attack: You can pay 800 Life Points; negate the attack. When a monster, except "Black Banish Bot", is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target that monster in the Graveyard and 1 face-up card; banish those targets from play. This effect can be used up to 3 times per turn.

Changes:

- Lots of OCG Corrections, hopefully they're on point.

- Decided on 2500/2500 for stats and kept 5 card Banished for SS, was considering maybe 3 instead though?

- Decided on Permanent for both the Graveyard Card and face-up Card and set a Limit for up to 3 times per turn

- Name Change, love this one alot better

- Element Change, thought DARK would fit in better with the whole D.D. and remove from play theme.

Also how do we do Spoilers here now lol?

Welcome back.

First things first, that we're using the new PSCT wording format. This allows people to better define what targets, what doesn't, what's in the cost or effect, etc. "Remove from play" has become "banish" as well.

When cards are banished until ____, in a manner similar to Interdimensional Matter Transporter, the returning to the field does not count as a Special Summon.

So with that, let's adjust the card text.

This card cannot Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) except by removing banishing 5 monsters in from your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways from play and by its own effect. If this card is targeted for an attack: by battle You can pay 800 Life Points; negate the attack and pay 800 Life Points. Whenever a monster, except "Black Gizmo", is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target that monster in the Graveyard remove it from play and remove 1 face-up card; banish those targets from play until the End Phase.

As for the card itself, incredibly underwhelming. Banishing 5 monsters from your Graveyard or Tributing 2 monsters for a 2000/2000 is a bit of a waste in resources, and you'd expect it to have some amazing effect to make up for that. We do get attack negation to keep it from getting stomped in battle, but the other effect is terribly underwhelming because it's temporary banishment.

What I would recommend is to bump up its stats significantly. 2500-2800 ATK might actually make people consider running it, especially when doing so lets it destroy a far wider range of monsters by battle and trigger its last effect on its own. As for the last effect, I feel that it should, at the very least, permanently banish the destroyed monster from the Graveyard. Or permanently banish the face-up card on the field. Not both, though - that's pushing the envelope, even if you've expended 5 monsters from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card.

Thank you for the welcome back!

Also a lot of thanks for the detailed review, since the grammar is constantly being updated I figured there would be a lot of mistakes. I can see what you mean I thought maybe I would be pushing the boundaries by making it permanent ban but what you offered definitely makes sense,This is definitely one of the most solid reviews I've had on a post since back in the day so it is really positive to see. Will take note of these corrections and use them for the future!

You've indicated that it can be Normal Summoned, yes? Was this intentional? Also, its effect is strangely underpowered for something with such a steep cost, of losing 5 resources (depending on the deck, unless you're doing macro burn).

Also we don't say remove from play anymore. ;) interesting card though, it's like a slightly less useful Doom Lord with a better attack than Junk Archer. And the term "Gizmo" isn't lore friendly, so let's call it "Machine". And Black is cool, but maybe Dark is more sinister. Or maybe you'd want a DD monster?

- D.D. Dark Warper

- D.D. Warping Machine

- Dark Warping Machine

- Black Banish Bot

- Supermechainterplanetaryblackdimensionalriftbot (I like this one the most)

How about....

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Banishing 5 monsters from your Graveyard, or by its own effect. Any monster that would be sent to the Graveyard is Banished, instead. Once per turn, you can target 1 monster on the Field; Banish that target, face-down. During the End Phase of this turn, return it to its original position.

Banishing it face-down means it cannot be un-banished - protection from other effects that would mess with the banished pile. A good card, very banisher-of-the-radiance like.

@ Gadjiltron: Yes the effect is instead to be used multiple times a turn.

@ Nightmare Stomper Thank you for the detailed review! Love the names you provided especially "Black Banish Bot". I did intend for it to be able to be Normal Summoned but I actually like the idea of it just being able to be Special Summoned. The OCG has changed dramatically! But definatey will make the changes and post a re-vamped one in the first Post!

EDIT: Out of curiosity, when stating "from your hand" is this now instead put in brackets as "(from your hand)"?

This only applies to inherent Special Summons that don't start a Chain. Think Cyber Dragon. Chain-starting effects that Special Summon don't need brackets.

As for the revamped effect, a little polishing up. Keeping a cap of 3 banishments when the effect can repeatedly trigger off a boardwipe can get difficult to express.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 5 monsters from your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If this card is targeted for an attack: You can pay 800 Life Points; negate the attack. When a monster(s), except "Black Banish Bot", is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target that 1 of those monsters in the Graveyard and 1 face-up card; banish those targets from play. This effect can be used up to 3 times per turn.

Until I find a better wording for it, my fix will only have the effect trigger only once in an instance where multiple monsters are destroyed, and can only banish 1 monster among those destroyed.
