V1.0

Once per turn: You can place 1 card from your hand on the top of the Deck: Then add 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can reveal 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster in your hand: Banish 2 monsters from your Graveyard with the same Type as the revealed monster: Special Summon the revealed monster (from your hand) in face-up Attack position, it cannot attack directly during the turn it was Summoned by this card's effect.

*Update* V1.02

Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can add 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn: If you control no "Earthbound Immortal" monsters, you can reveal 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster in your hand: Banish 2 monsters from your Graveyard with the same type as the revealed monster, and if you do, Special Summon it. You can only control 1 "Guild of the Immortals".

I think being able to Special Summon them during the main phase, would make this card more playable, since you will be able to attack instead of waiting a turn. Where it might not survive in this day and age of Yu-Gu-Oh.

1.Love the artwork.

2. Is it that important to place the card on top of the deck if you're about to go through it and shuffle it soon afterwards? (unless this card gets negated).

3. What are your thoughts on the name "Guide of the Immortals"?

4. I think the effects are balanced enough. I don't think anyone can mass-mill monsters as quick enough to be able to swarm the field with Earthbounds, but either way, you can edit the 2nd effect to restrict the possibility. Here's an option (making it up on the spot):

"Once per turn, if you control no "Earthbound Immortal" monsters: You can reveal 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster in your hand: Banish 2 or more monsters from your Graveyard with the same Type as the revealed monster: Special Summon the revealed monster (from your hand) in face-up Attack position, it cannot attack directly during the turn it was Summoned by this card's effect.

This way you can Summon an Immortal unlimited number of times, but if you want to get a 2nd one out, you have to figure out a different way, be it by Tribute Summon or by warping one with "Interdimentional Matter Trasporter"/"Dimensionhole" so you can dodge this effect's restriction.

I love earthbound immortals, and therefore I'm immediately biased to tell you this card MUST exist, but with a few tweaks:

Why would I want to go so minus for a two-tribute monster? No. Once per turn, I can add 1 EBIR to my hand FOR FREE. From my Deck OR Graveyard.

The second effect is great, but it should have a phase limitation, say, the End Phase? That way it can be used in case of emergencies. Also, the fact that you can do it infinitely could result in some Rasca loops, but that's not really a problem anyway. So there can only be one face-up.

Here's my 2 cents.

At first, I wanted it to be a +1 Searcher, but didn't want it to be OP, since they are big Monsters who can make a direct attack, but I didn't take into account how vulnerable they are. I like the adding 1 from the grave as well, makes this card much more playable. Do you think being able to Special summon them during the main phase would be too OP? Since adding the last line of text would keep from OTKs.

Thanks, I saw the art for this and I immediately thought of Earthbound's.

I think banishing an unlimited amount would be too much, in the sense that it can be abused in other decks.

I do like how "Guild of the Immortals" sounds.
