HeroicHammer
I'm trying to be deep tonight, so... yeah. During your Standby Phase: You can activate one or both of these effects. *Tribute 2 Normal Monsters; draw 2 cards, then put one Gluttony Counter on this card. *If this card has 3 or more Gluttony Counters on it: You gain 2000 Life Points. + Gain 2000 life points if this card have three counters or more. + Awesome Recovery Effect. - Needs two normal monsters as tribute to activate its effect. - Takes approximately 3 turns for the secondary effect to happen. - Secondary effect took place in stand-by phase. - Continuous, easy to be destroyed. [spoiler=Lore] Once upon a time, the crown princess of a prosperous kingdom tasted the forbidden fruit of the demon. She acquired many powers of the demon, but she harbors the urge to feed herself endlessly. And so, she ate all of the kingdom's riches and wealth, decimated its beautiful landscapes, and brought the kingdom to ruin. Many were still loyal to the princess, and they served her many food each day in the hopes of finally revert her back to normal, but it never came. Soon, her servants ran out of food to give, and they ran out of options. Until the princess, in a state of hunger, ate two of her less loyal servants raw. The princess' followers soon panicked as she ordered her most loyal servants to blockade the exit of her kingdom, and held a ritual of sacrifice each day, as the common people were used to fill her bottomless pit. After three hundred moons has passed, she ran out of servants and followers to feed herself. Searching under the rubble of her fallen kingdom nets her nothing but dried skins and poisonous water. Sitting with hunger in the midst of her meal's remains and cluttered mess of filth, she stares at her own reflection through a broken plate. She pondered her actions, but her hunger took the better of her. First, she ate her own sight and senses other than her mouth. Next, she ate her methods of running away. Third, she ate what gives her the ability to push food into her mouth. As she rotted and became a corpse, the land felt sorry for her and assimilates itself with her, causing a wide blessings of lush greens and prospers to come for how many more years to come. Fat Cat Ultim
Hmm...I like this card. But it has alot of drawbacks for my taste.I have some suggestions, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Suggestions : Why not tribute one DARK type monster who has 1800 or more ATK ? And draw only one card.Plus, this effect can be lore-friendly* And why not add this : If you have 2 or more DARK type monsters in your graveyard, this card cannot be destroyed. Would suit at a DARK deck.As I said,if you find some balancing problems, feel free to correct them. * As when the princess ate the fruit of the demonshe got demon powers, which are Dark powers. HeroicHammer
At what point in the turn do you gain the 2000 LP while the card has 3 or more Gluttony Counters? Stand-by phase. If you have three or more counters, you can either choose to activate one of the effects, or both of the effects, like Kunai with Chain XD Suggestions : Why not tribute one DARK type monster who has 1800 or more ATK ? And draw only one card.Plus, this effect can be lore-friendly* And why not add this : If you have 2 or more DARK type monsters in your graveyard, this card cannot be destroyed. Would suit at a DARK deck.As I said,if you find some balancing problems, feel free to correct them. Hm... I might make one specifically for dark decks, but I'd rather banish those cards rather than sacrificing them and sending them to the graveyard, IMO. For being lore friendly, she doesn't really view her demonic powers as blessings, but more like a curse. She also never sacrifice anything than what she already owns in the first place, hence the sacrifice of normal monsters. (Since the princess is already something of a monster already, and the servant of a monster is also a monster by some interpretation) As for your other suggestion, I admit that it is one nice effect, but it will make the card too OP if the opponent doesn't have any Soul Release-esque cards on stand-by, and just think how it could be abused in such a way by using an attribute changing effect, Too OP XD
Trebuchet MS
You may activate this card's effect on During your Standby Phase: You can activate 1 or both of these effects. *Tribute 2 face-up Normal Monsters; cards you control to draw 2 cards, and then put 1 Gluttony Counter on this card. Each turn, *If this card has 3 or more Gluttony Counters on it: You gain 2000 Life Points. Tributing 2 Normal Monsters for drawing 2 seems like a steep setback when you compare it to White Elephant's Gift, but seeing that you can freely Tribute Tokens, I think that offsets the increased cost, letting you get some good mileage out of Scapegoat and pals and turn the multi-Token generator cards into effective +1s. Mecha Phantom Beasts greet this card, by the way. LP gain might be glossed over, especially in comparison to the draw power, but being able to repeatedly gain 2000 LP per turn once you reach 3 counters or more can allow you to accumulate a buffer that withstands some otherwise lethal onslaughts. It's more of an icing on the cake if you've kept the card for long enough, rather than a goal to work towards.
Dokutah
what a beautiful lore for a card... ok let's see... i assume this card is design for Vanilla-centric-decks ( and to some extent Blue-eyes or/with Rescue Rabbit) with high draw power per-cost and when you manage to get 3 counter you get equally massive LP gain per-turn for free. in terms of drawing this help when you draw a spell/trap which stop "Heart of the Underdog" (which in return provide fooder for this card) on the other hand you have a chance can draw up to 2 spell/trap to further support your normal monster massive life gaining help you run high cost support/counter (like Solemn Warning) or potent surprise (like Final Countdown), in pure normal monster deck you mostly have tendency to take damage more often ( a side story on a bad moment while you have Extra deck arsenal or something like Black Horn of Heaven or Skill Drain)... Hmm...I like this card. But it has alot of drawbacks for my taste.I have some suggestions, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. HeroicHammer
EDIT: * Redone The Card's effect description as per Gadjiltron's corrections.
