Dokutah
Hello this is my first time in this section at first i don't know what to post until i found this post on this section: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/314167-so-ive-been-thinking/ so yeah i'm "net-decking" that post and technically introducing my own summon system which based on a Fan-Fic i made (which not yet to be post on creative writing section) here by i introduce you to: Construct Summon,Construct Monster, and its fellow Constructor Concept card morphology and basic ruling There 2 type of monster which all placed in your main deck . first is a secondary-type "Constructor" (like tuner,flip,spirit,...etc) usually with either vanilla or orange colored frame (depending its normal or effect monster) they have a 2 small additional effect box (like Pendulum Monster's pendulums scales indicator) containing Roman numeral that either same or different value called the "Construction Steps" (tentative). Once per turn you may move Constructor monster to monster zone adjacent-ed to it, this is called "Move Base". during a turn you conduct a "Move Base" you cannot normal summon/set Constructor monster. second is the "Construct Monster" with white frame similar to synchro monster but decorated with light teal colored Graffiti styled pattern (because yugioh can be more hip than just children toddler card game) also in addition to Level star orb, "Construct" monster have what i call the Grade star orb next to its Levels. Grade star orb is have a dark blue colored orb instead of orange. Construct monster have a square bracket ( [...] ) with amount (usually in multiple 100) next each to its ATK and DEF amount which called as Critical point. when 2 Construct monster battled the monster with the highest Grade among them can have its Printed Original ATK or DEF to be equal to combine amount of its original stat and its Critical Point (in this condition, both are printed stat, thus combine amount of them is still treated as printed stat condition) Construct monster have a unique Level-esque indicator called Grade. placed next to its level. so this monster have 2 hierarchic indicator. the true amount of Grades is based on combine amount of both visible Grade and level, for example: Ciel-Eyes Blanc Dragun Light, Level:8, Grade:9, Wyrm/Construct (normal) ATK: 3000[0] /DEF: 2500[500] this monster have 1 grade aside of its 8 levels so its true grade as shown above is 9 now how basically Construct summon works: conducting Construct summon is quite easy, you need to control at least 1 Constructor with at least 1 unoccupied monster zone adjacent-ed to the Constructor monster. then you can summon a Construct monster on that zone whose its Grade is equal or lower to the Construction Step indicator that is next to the zone (so if you would summon in the zone that is on the left side of the constructor monster you must apply the left Construction Steps for the Grades of monster you would summon). but you can only conduct 1 Construct summon (including its evolved form) once per Constructor(s) (or pairs) example you control a constructor:Dark Technician DARK, Level:4, Construction Steps: 8 (left)/ 3 (right), Spellcaster/Constructor (normal) ATK: 1500 /DEF: 1000 and you want to summon this (already in hand): Dark Illusion Technician DARK, Level:7, Grade:8, Spellcaster/Construct (normal) ATK: 2500[400] /DEF: 1500[200] therefore logically you must apply the left Construction Step to summon the "Dark Illusion Technician" since the Construction Step is 8 which equal the Grade of "Dark Illusion Technician".... make sure monster card zone on the left side of "Dark Technician" is empty. summon the "Dark Illusion Technician" there are 2 more technique of Construct summon (1 is a alternative method while the other is its evoled form) which is the Upgrade-Construct Summon and Hyper-Construct summon Upgrade-construct summon is similar to Normal Construct summon but instead requiring a unoccupied card zone it require to at least send 1 monster on the same card zone as monster you would summon as material which called as Construct material (you can also send monster on the other side of Constructor if is need too. but you still must summon it in the zone which its Grade condition apply correctly) example you control a constructor:Dark Technician DARK, Level:4, Construction Steps: 8 (left)/ 3 (right), Spellcaster/Constructor (normal) ATK: 1500 /DEF: 1000 and you want to summon this (already in hand):Brainmorpher - "Jinzo" DARK, Level:5, Grade:8, Psychic/Construct/Effect 1 DARK Monster ATK: 2400[100] /DEF: 1800[200] therefore logically you must apply the left Construction Step to summon the "Brainmorpher" since the Construction Step is 8 which higher than the Grade of "Brainmorpher". but in addition you must sent Construct material listed on "Brainmorpher" (1 DARK Monster) which either you summon or already face-up (you must place that monster [the construct material] on left or right zone of "Dark Technician", otherwise you cannot conduct the summon). when all set you can send the construct material to graveyard and summon the "Brainmorpher" on left side monster zone of "Dark Technician" Hyper-Construct summon can be perform if there either unoccupied monster zone or occupied by its Construct Material between 2 Constructor. in this condition you can apply combine amount of each Construction Steps that is adjacent-ed to that zone to summon Construct monster with equal or lower Grade (along with sending Construct material to graveyard if required) example (without needing construct material) you control 2 constructor with empty monster zone between them... this: Dark Technician DARK, Level:4, Construction Steps: 8 (left)/ 3 (right), Spellcaster/Constructor (normal) ATK: 1500 /DEF: 1000 (on the left side of the empty zone, applying the right Construction Step [3] ) and this: Future HERO Nexus Neos LIGHT, Level:4, Construction Steps: 8 (left)/ 3 (right), Warrior/Constructor (normal) ATK: 1500 /DEF: 1000 (on the right side of the empty zone, applying the left Construction Step [8] ) therefore you can summon a Grade 10 Construct Monster ( 8 + 3). which in this case you happen to have this: Exalted Wyrm of Horus Fire, Level:8, Grade:10, Wyrm/Construct/Effect ATK: 4000[0] /DEF: 2500[500] summon "Horus" on that zone a example of of both Constructor and Construct monster (in form of Dark Magician reboot): Dark Technician DARK, Level:4, Construction Steps: 8 (left)/ 3 (right), Spellcaster/Constructor (normal) ATK: 1500 /DEF: 1000 Dark Illusion Technician DARK, Level:7, Grade:8, Spellcaster/Construct (normal) ATK: 2500[400] /DEF: 1500[200]

Neutrality Man
I'm confused, can you diagram the Summon procedure?
Libracor
Hey, I'm glad my idea inspired this, and while it is a bit convoluted, there is a ton of potential for these. I'd like to see these cards in a fanfic that I've been working on. Would you like to collaberate with me?

Libracor
Looking at the updated construction diagram, it is MUCH clearer now. It looks like constructs that require materials would be more powerful than ones that don't, and constructs that have higher grades are stronger than those with lower grades. (Just a thought) I think that monsters with high construcion steps should have limits (see stargazer and timegazer magician's pendulum scales) or just be harder to summon/maintain. Cool though.
