OCG October List

[Ryusei the Morning Star]

So the list will be out in 10 days flat (maybe before) with the V jump spoilers. And so it seemed like a prudent time to talk about what could happen and have a place for  fake list leaks

 

So the current situation in OCG

 

The Meta is Iron Ruled by 

Masked Heroes, Shaddolls, and Qliphorts

 

Further breaking it down we have two varients of both meta decks

 

Stardolls and Regular Shaddolls

Starheroes and Masked Heros

 

Heroes and Shaddolls came out in June so we can expect a pretty strong hit to them.

Quiphorts however being in Nech likely won't be hit hard. Personally I think a limit to Summoner's Art could be the sealing deal to slow the deck down but not damage sales in SoE

Heroes:

This problem needs to be taken care of two fold. Star Seraphs are THE spash cards in OCG atm. Instant Shockmaster vomiting draw engine. A semi limit to both Sovereign and Scepter would likely solve the problem in that regard

Heroes have phenomenal control and search power at the instant and there are only a few reasonable ways to deal with it

 

Ban Stratos

Limit Shadow Mist

Limit E-call

Limit AHL

 

Personally I do not feel OCG will ban stratos now of all times, and it seems a little early to hit Mist but it could work. E call at 3 seems a bit much. But I think the real problem is Darklaw. The one sided macro that instantly made Shaddolls s*** their pants may be fine in the meta but it really kills all other decks. This card is likely to see a limit IMO

 

Shaddolls Other than the inherent problem of their insane adv buildage, Midrash seems to be what makes them gain control. That along with Old Shaddoll Fusion acting as future Fusion if needed. A limit to both of these card (esp with quickplay legal) will likely hurt dolls but not kill them

 

Shockmaster: Most want it gone, guy at nats ran 3 and won...I feel a serph hit and a Limit would be prudent enough but a ban may occur

 

Tier 1.5

 

Infernity: Won nats- Hit barriar to 1? Maybe soul charge gets semi or limited

Stellaknights: Deneb may get limited? That's pushing it. Shock and Stars need to get hit in some fashion however

 

Other Decks

 

Rulers got shafted HARD in the last list. This makes me thing Komoney may consider unbanning the chibi rulers for all the help that would do

There seems to be a push to boost Yang's so Goyo may return as it has play tested well in TCG?

Mezuki and T.G. Striker can hit 3

We saw Wind UP and Dino Rab get boosted last time, this may be Inzektors chance, Dfly to 2?

 

Bans:

Shockmaster possibly

Stratos-Highly doubtful

 

Unbans:

Chibi Rulers- Would explain the unexpectedly hard shaft to rulers

Goyo- has been out creeped in TCG would have 0 effect in OCG

Cold Wave- the backrow in OCG has gotten beyond the PT of heavy being able to tame it, and this card is likely the most skillful of the three and yes it can stop pendulum scales so a hit to quiphorts

DMOC- this is the cover card for a pack in September-yay sales

Royal Oppression-I doubt it, but a lot of people are talking about it's chances with the SSpandemic going on

 

Limits:

Instant Fusions: Noden in 7 days

 

Semi: Nothing stands out, some random will likely make it here (necroface?)

 

Unlims:

BTH will likely follow Torrential to 3

Ophion can go back to 3 with the Extra Pack giving us good old Encore in all its glory

 

IDK...discuss..kill me with fake lists with CED unbanned...do your thing
