Chesu - Synchro Archetype

Thanks for looking at my new cards! They are themed around the game of chess. Even though I am not 100% satisfied with them I decided to still post them in hopes of getting some help.
- First of all there isn't many pieces in chess to make monsters of
- Right now they sort of focus on spamming and bringing out the King/Queen but I would like to give them more of a central theme.
- I was planning on giving the Synchro monsters effects to shut down different kind of decks, so depending on what you were up against you would have a viable solution.
- Any help would be appreciated :D

If this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster, you can treat it as a non-Tuner, but the other monsters must be "Chesu" monsters. You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Level 4 or lower "Chesu" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. You can only use this effect of "White Chesu Shikyo" once per turn.

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send 1 "Chesu" monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, then you can increase or decrease this card's Level by 1. If this card is used as Synchro material for a "Chesu" monster: You can target one of your banished "Chesu" monsters, except "Shiro Chesu Naito"; add it to your hand.

Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except if the other monster(s) are "Chesu" monsters. If this card on the field is used for a Synchro Summon, banish it. When this card is Normal Summoned, and your opponent controls a Special Summoned monster: You can Special Summon 1 "Shiro Chesu" monster from your hand or Deck. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 other "Chesu" monster in your Graveyard; banish that target, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your Graveyard and its Level becomes the Level of that banished monster.

You can only use each effect of "Shiro Chesu Ruku" once per turn.
* If this card is in your hand or Graveyard and you control no cards: You can Special Summon this card.
* If you have no cards in your hand: You can target 1 of your banished "Chesu" monsters; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position.

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Chesu" monsters
While this card is face-up on the field, it is unaffected by cards that do not target it. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks a Defense Position monster: Banish that monster.

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Shiro Chesu" monsters
Neither player can Special Summon DARK monsters. The effects of DARK monsters in the Graveyard cannot be activated. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a DARK monster: Banish that monster. If this card is banished: You can target 2 "Shiro Chesu" monsters in your Graveyard; add them both to your hand, and if you do, return this banished card to the Extra Deck. You can only use this effect of "Shiro Chesu Kuin" once per turn.

You can only activate 1 "Chekku Field" per turn. Synchro Summon 1 "Chesu" monster from your Extra Deck using "Chesu" monsters from your hand and/or side of the field. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish this card; shuffle from your Graveyard into your Main Deck Synchro Material Monsters listed on a "Chesu" Synchro monster, then Special Summon that monster from your Extra Deck or Graveyard.

I keep reading the card names in this stereotypical deep male anime voice and it's making me lol. Anyway, looks really good. One thing I'm a bit confused about though: on Chekku Field, it says you're shuffleing Synchro Material MonsterS, and then you say to special summon that monster singular. Are you summoning the synchro monster or the material monsters?

Also I would use spaces instead of Os on Ruku, it'll look better.

Chekku Field - You're summoning the Synchro monster. I figured it would be given since it says to shuffle the material listed on the card and to summon it from the extra deck (or graveyard if there is on in there).

On Ruku I changed them to * I think spaces are too confusing when there is more than one effect

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah Chekku field does make sense, I was just tired.

I suggested spaces because that's how I've seen other people do it, but you're right, * make it a lot better.

One kinda minor thing I thought I'd mention is that it's kinda weird how low level Naito, Kingu, and Kuin (especially Kuin) are compared to how powerful they are. I don't know many 5 star cards with 2600/2100 stats with a good effect (that single handedly destroys Dark World's I may add). I would make Kuin 6 stars because that would make it still possible to summon with Natio and Bishopppu and it would better reflect it's power level. The other two look weird but are fine in this case (in Kingu's case, Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En exists so there's precedent for it). Also on Naito, I'm not sure why you'd ever decrease it's level by 1. Maybe that would be useful in anotther deck, but in this deck that doesn't really serve a purpose considering it doesn't help you summon your synchros. I'd get rid of that effect.

It's nice how this is an archetype that isn't super large and overpowering. Most archetypes in Yugioh are small and mostly just fun to use. This one seems pretty realistic and that's refreshing.
