RedEmissaryofDarkness
Lore : 2 Level 1 Monsters Other monsters cannot change their battle positions or attack. Once per turn during either player's turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls, equip it to this card (You can only equip 1 monster to this card at a time). If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy the equipped monster instead. During either player's turn: you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; neither player can Special Summon for the rest of the turn Thought of this on the fly. Just wanted to make this while making my Majestic/Anti-Majestic Set, so how do you think about it? It is essentially an upgraded Thousand-Eyes Restrict, but since it is a Rank 1, and being harder to summon that way, it should balance out, while boosting at the same time. EDIT 1: Applied some OCG fixes (All of which were provided by Gadjiltron)
Trebuchet MS
since it is a Rank 1, and being harder to summon that way, it should balance out, while boosting at the same time. Ha, ha. No. Admittedly, it's not as splashable, but only marginally less so. It's worth building around because it's far more accessible. Because it permits use of any LV1 monsters, a Kinka-byo pretty much makes this in one step, in comparison to TER where you either fused it the hard way and needed more investment (and specific cards) or used Goat-Metamorphosis in its prime. Making this Rank 1 will just simplify the Summoning process. In combination with the fact that you've buffed it by a few orders of magnitude, it'll be more gamebreaking than TER. Lore fix, without applying any rebalancing: As long as this card remains face-up on the field, Other monsters cannot change their battle positions or attack. Seeing the Kinka-Byo combination, i can see exactly where you are coming from. I have a few ideas as to how i can fix this issue. 1. Make the Xyz requirements 2 Level 1 Spellcaster-Type monsters - Thus making it harder to summon 2. Change the Xyz Detach effect from a Vanity effect into a Skill Drain effect 3. Get rid of the Omni-Destroy prevention to the original Battle-Destroy prevention 4. Change the Vanity effect into a Cold Wave effect while ditching the Quick effect and making it until the end phase. My idea behind this was to help support Rank 1 based decks and decks that utilize them like the aforementioned Kinka-Byo or Ghostrick archetypes, and make them able to compete alongside Burning Abyss and Qliphorts. Either that, or this card essentially is a no win situation in the creation department
TheOtherWhiteNerd
Like was mentioned above, the card is slightly too generic. However, if you make it two Level 1 Spellcasters, what decks would be able to play it? Maybe Piper Chaos? I'd agree with numbers 3 and I would prefer number 4 to number 2. Sir Yamiegg
Make it detach 2 for the floodgate effect, and I would make it protect from battle and targeting effects.
