If you control a Level 4 Beast-Type monster, you can Special Summon this card(from your hand) in attack position. At the end of your turn, if this card did not destroy an Opponent's monster by battle this turn, the ATK of this card becomes 1000 until your next Standby Phase. If this card destroys an Opponent's monster by battle, you can Target 1 Level 4 Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard, except "Schwesen Rossteed": Special Summon it in Defense Position. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can Discard 1 DARK monster OR Banish 1 Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard instead.

Totally posting this card for no particular reason what so ever.
This card follows the same sort of name-gimmick as Hundog; 'Ross' in German is 'Steed' in English.
Speaking of Dog- I mentioned in that topic that I had made a counterpart of sorts; This is that counterpart.
So both of them are intended to be played together, but can also function apart from eachother because they are not ideally tied together.
*ahem*

Yes I did put them in different topics because... Let's be honest... Both This card and Dog are obveiously 1-off cards that just share a similar design. I mean, it's not like this sort of thing has ever been done before anyway.

Alright, in terms of usefulness: This card couldn't hurt. It could be a nice common in a future set. 

 

Its high ATK makes it good in draft. I like it. Why is attack position necessary? Nice effect though. I like it, it has some outlast feature and doesn't die to pure removal which is good.

 

There are too many cards in yugioh that die to removal. Nice art by the way, and I do appreciate the pun.

If this card destroys an Oopponent's monster by battle, you can target 1 Level 4 Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard, except "Schwesen Rossteed": Special Summon it in face-up Defence Position. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect, you can discard 1 DARK monster OR Banish 1 Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard, instead.
