I think the effect is a little too broken, but I wanted to see if you guys think it's a good concept for a Stun card. Effect: Must be Tribute Summoned by tributing a monster on your side of the field and cannot be Summoned by other ways. This card's Tribute Summon cannot be negated. When this card is Summoned, cards and effects (except this card's effects) cannot be activated. When this card is Summoned: apply the appropriate effect, based on the kind of monster Tributed for this card's Tribute Summon: •Ritual: If a Ritual Spell Card or Ritual Monster effect is activated: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it (this is not optional). •Fusion: Banish all Fusion Monsters from both players' Extra Decks, Fields and Graveyards, face-down. •Synchro: Banish all Synchro Monsters from both players' Extra Decks, Fields and Graveyards, face-down •Xyz: Banish all Xyz Monsters from both players' Extra Decks, Fields and Graveyards, face-down. •Pendulum: Shuffle all cards in the Pendulum Zones into the Deck. While this card is face-up on the field, the Pendulum Zones cannot be used. Alright, there wasn't much that can be done without editing the card's functionality as a whole. Right away, we see that this is a floodgate against various kinds of Monster Cards. The issue here is that this card cannot be countered and when it touches down, and once that happens, against certain specialized Decks they literally cannot play, even after this gets dealt with. And we tend to look down on cards that do that. There may be a restriction preventing you from getting it out with Stormforth, and a restriction that forces you to actually be running the same card type to floodgate against it, but it doesn't help your case much. Remove the uncounterability, and it's still incredibly powerful. Water down the way it stuns Decks. Instead of simply destroying the entire strategy for the rest of the game, I would just prevent the Summon type so that when the card is dealt with, normal play can resume. It's far from getting the acceptable balance between "too effective" and "completely ineffective", but it's a step. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Gold_Armor Posted February 16, 2015 Report Share Posted February 16, 2015 Even a level 10-12 Boss cards wouldn't have these effects. This monster's level is too low and it very easy to summon. And its effect can really turn the table. I have to say this is an Over Powered card. Reduce the effect atleast, or make some restrictions etc...
