Chaotic Angel
So yeah, I pretty much got rudely woken by one of the officers there phoning me today, so I panicked for a bit. I was expecting my brother to be home today and some bitch had to be rude about it over the phone telling me to get my arse out of bed to pick him up. Oh, and I don't have a full UK license. Just a provisional one. In the end, another woman called up and I told her a taxi driver is picking my brother up. That one was far nicer and I was able to assist her, unlike that poor old cow who called me first at five in the fucking morning GMT. tl;dr it was horrible. Did you experience having immigration from your country calling you asking if you expected someone and be rude about it? Discuss...
Cin
Never had a problem with immigration. Was perplexed that the British Coach had to offload for going through Passport Control at Calais, but a Polish Coach didn't, when I was coming back from Belgium one year. Chaotic Angel
i see. It wan't all that bad then. Did anything else happen when you were returning?
Cin
That's all really, last time they just came onto the coach to check passports, rather than check the coach. (That was my first trip to Belgium.) Never had any problems coming into the UK via Dover, or St. Pancras or leaving from Calais or Paris' main station for Disney. Or on the trips to Florida. Chaotic Angel
Yeah, it's odd because my brother got stopped by immigration. He's only 15 and arrived on his own. Why even bother stopping him, right? British passport, everything. It was like that when I arrived home as well. I was only 17 and came back on my own but that's not the point. They shouldn't really be stopping anyone providing they have the legal documents. Not especially when they are say, 15-16 and traveling on their own, it's a load of bull. But that's my opinion. Cin
It's the correct legal documents. Sometimes they have to act on suspicions such as false passports, stolen passports, etc. You will notice alot of thing like that on Passport Patrol, UK Border Force, etc.
