Яeverse-Ascendant [Toyo Archetypes]

Recommended Posts

I got bored and made a pendulum archetype to support Inferno Tempest. And Soul Release. And Dimensional Fissure. And [insert Banishing Spell Card here].
ZOp8T4v.png
Once per turn, if you control a monster: You can add 1 "Reverse-Ascendant" monster from your deck to your hand. When this effect resolves: Banish all monsters you control.

If this card is banished by a spell card: Discard 1 card; Draw 1 card.  You can only activate this effect of "Reverse-Ascendant, Acoda" once per turn, and only once that turn. Double all battle damage you take the turn is activated.

When you take battle damage: You can Banish 1 "Reverse-Ascendant" monster from your deck with less ATK than the damage you took. Send this card to the graveyard when this effect resolves.

If this card is Banished by a spell card: You can Special Summon it in face-up defense position. When this card that was Special Summoned by its own effect leaves the field: Shuffle it into the deck instead. Double all battle damage you take the turn this card is Special Summoned. You can only Special Summon 1 "Reverse-Ascendant, Orchestius" per turn.

All Fiend-type monsters you control gain 300 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn when exactly 1 "Reverse-Ascendant" monster is targeted by a card effect: You can change the target to this card instead

Once per turn: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is Banished by a spell card: Target 1 "Reverse-Ascendant" monster in your graveyard or banished zone; add it to your hand. Double all battle damage you take the turn this effect is activated. You can only activate this effect of "Reverse-Ascendant, Rhymos" once per turn and only once that turn.

During either player's turn, when a "Reverse-Ascendant" monster(s) you control are to be destroyed by an opponent's card: You can banish this card; those card(s) are not destroyed, then banish 1 monster you control and take damage equal to its ATK.

If this card is Banished by a spell card: You can target 1 "Reverse-Ascendant" monster in your graveyard or banished zone; place it on your Pendulum Zone. Its effect(s) are negated. Double all battle damage you take the turn this effect is activated. You can only activate this effect of "Reverse-Ascendant, Telharmonius" once per turn, and only once that turn.

Once while this card is face-up: you can return 1 Banished "Reverse-Ascendant" monster to your graveyard; flip 1 card on the field face down. When this effect resolves: Banish 1 "Reverse-Ascendant" monster from your field or graveyard.

If this card is Banished by a spell card: target 1 card on the field; destroy and banish it. You can only activate this effect of "Reverse-Ascendant, Theremin" once per turn and only once that turn. Double all battle damage you take the turn this effect is activated.

2 Level 4 "Reverse-Ascendant" monsters

Huge thanks to TheProgrammer for making this deliciously beautiful template that severely outclasses YCMs.

@Acoda

Such a minor detail that i'm not gonna bother fixing due to the way this template works.

@Orchestius

Yes. That's been fixed now.

@World's End

It is stupid. Decided to remove it completely since it didn't even fit the flavor of these things.

Anyway, gave a hard OPT on all the cards at Nai's suggestion.

No offense, Toyo-sama, but you have capitalization errors all over the place.

Some terms, like "Deck", and "Spell Card", aren't capitalized, while others, like "banished", are.

But I'm not going to correct the text of every single one (though this is why some people list the card text in addition to the images).

Anyways, the archetype seems pretty spammy in the right decks, but it doesn't really have anything to take advantage of the immensely-stackable battle damage multiplication going on here.

Inferno Tempest. It's a wincon for the deck. Also, I don't really care for like capitalization and stuff, nobody wants to bother with that. And as far as i know, the battle damage multiplication shouldn't stack, so you're not gonna take 12000 damage from a blue eyes if you banish 2

I was wondering about that. I haven't touched Inferno Tempest in years.

But yeah, it's kind of a win condition if you play it, since you suddenly get a bunch of weenies with extra battle damage.

Switched out Acoda and Rhymos's monster effects at Cirrus's suggestion. Might be looking into making them trigger only by "Reverse-Ascendant" monsters, as well as making an archetype-specific Soul Release for them. A new Xyz Pendulum has also been added.

As a sidenote, these cards are all named after characters in Rayark's Project Symphony game(?) thingie. Originally their name also included the character's title (E.G: Evolution Reverse-Ascendant, Acoda and Calamity Reverse-Ascendant, Theremin) but they were too long and looked ugly.
