玄魔の王
Yeah, we all remember this guy for making about a hundred Quasar decks at the end of the 5D's era. Well, lately Konami has been on an errata kick in order to make certain cards less devastating in an effort to bring them back, and at least one (Temple of the Kings) achieved this with an hard once per turn clause alone. Under this idea, if we change Fishborg Blaster's lore to: If you control a face-up Level 3 or lower WATER monster: You candiscard 1 card; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Fishborg Blaster" once per turn. If this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster, all other Synchro Material Monsters must be WATER. would it be okay for it to come off the ban list? Discuss. Zauls
It would still be really good, probably enough to warrant a permanent position @1 on the list. I reckon it wouldn't be too ridiculous though. Konami actually missed a trick by not giving this an errata, though. Imagine how good it would be with the new Atlantean guy. Atypical-Abbie
Think it would be more likely that it banished instead. It also fits with the other Fishborgs.
Neutrality Man
...(Temple of the Kings) achieved this with an hard once per turn clause alone... You do realize the old wording allowed Synchros and Xyz to be dropped, right? They did a little more than a hard OPT. OT: Give one to Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier while you're at it. Also return Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier to 1, he ain't doing shit in OCG. Together with this card errata'd, those two might help WATER-centric decks survive more than a format without getting nuked all to hell. I can't be the only one that noticed that it's usually the WATER DT-archetype Decks that get annihilated the quickest.
Blake
It would still be too good. Jet Synchron was seeing a lot of play in OCC generically, and this is an infinitely better themed one that does away with being banished. As long as Atlanteans exist, this is too good. Even after they're eradicated, it's still vastly unfair, even with a hard OPT.
Mysty
Probably needs to be changed to:If you control a Level 3 or lower WATER monster: You can banish 1 card from your hand; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Fishborg Blaster" once per turn. Cannot be used as a Synchro Material except for a WATER monster, and all other Synchro Material Monsters must be WATER. That might not even be enough, but this is what I'd most expect from Konami. EDIT: Might even change the condition to: If all monsters you control (min 1) are Level 3 or lower WATER monsters: [...] If they feel like being really cautious.
