Tentacruel
Hard to say really. You can carry guns everywhere else in Florida. I'm conflicted on the issue.
Cin
This is like allowing people to carry knives to protect themselves. I don't really get America's decision to arm themselves, because apparently no one is physically very strong. Sure College Campuses need to feel safe, but surely that is the police's job. You should look up Georgia's "guns everywhere" law. I find it to be pretty idiotic.

.Rooster
Next they will be allowing tanks on the highway.
Tentacruel
You should look up Georgia's "guns everywhere" law. I find it to be pretty idiotic. It's definitely a bit extreme. College campuses are a bit more open though. Not one building. Ideally you would never even know someone was carrying.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
This just seems a bad idea. Giving people guns, in a place full of not fully matured in some cases and often drunk people...

That's a very poor description of the legislation. We're not talking about giving a bunch of kids guns. We're talking about letting people who already own guns carry them on campus instead of leaving them in their car or at home. That's all. Also, you need to be 21 to have a concealed carry permit anyway.

And sure they person with the gun is safe, but the people around them, who might be drunk and dumb and decide to take the gun....Just causes some safety issues. There are legitimate safety concerns and there's definitely a discussion to be had, but I do ask that people refrain from hyperbole. Also, it depends on the school. At my school alcohol is almost completely banned from campus, although it probably applies more to the big college town type schools with houses and stuff. On another note, if you're carrying, it's generally a bad idea to show people that you're carrying. It's only legal (at least in Florida) if it's completely concealed.
