(1) When this card is Summoned; Banish all Spirit monsters your opponent controls.
(2) During your End Phase, when your Spirit monster returns to your hand, you can banish 1 card in either player's Graveyard: Draw 1 card.
(3) When this Card is Normal Summoned: Add 1 Spirit monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.
You can only control 1 "Eternal Shrine Maiden"

I'm not entirely sure on the card grammar, I've been out of the loop and haven't made cards in years, but it should be legible enough. Basically I just wanted to design a card to make Spirits actually worth playing. The first effect is more of a flavour thing than anything else, people who know the character in the artwork should understand, as well as the whole Shrine Maidens banishing Youkai and such. The second effect was originally actually part of the third, you added a Spirit to your hand every time one bounced, I figured this was a bit superfluous and honestly I would rather have an extra card, since cards like Aratama and Mikitama already exist for that type of thing, so I decided to make it a draw effect instead.

General Stratos effect stapled onto the third effect, the reasoning for this is so that you can make some of the higher levelled spirits (Like Izanagi and Yamata Dragon) slightly more playable by searching them at will, and also recurring dead spirits is quite useful. Only controlling 1 clause is mostly there so you can't Pot of Greed every time a Spirit bounces, because that would be really silly.

Overall, I like the Spirit theme as a whole and would like to support it a bit further, but this is all I have for now.

I've got to say, as an avid Spirit player and fan, i'm none too excited about this card. While flavored properly in effects there are some conflicting issues that I have with the card.

(1) When this card is Summoned; Banish all Spirit monsters your opponent controls.

This, obviously tieing into the Shrine Maiden flavor of the card. While nice, is far too situational, and, in somecases, can be a hinderince. As I run Creature Swap/Mystic Box (Less Mystic Box now due to the game state) to combo with the Spirit Monster mechanic and Legacy of Yata-Garasu for good field presence and strong draw power. Such would limit the uses of this card and Normal Summons are very tight in Spirit Monsters (And they don't typically pack ways to Special Summon monsters either)

(2) During your End Phase, when your Spirit monster returns to your hand, you can banish 1 card in either player's Graveyard: Draw 1 card.

This effect however, is quite nice. it sticks to the flavor your going for and applies graveyard hate and draw power during the end phase. Both are much desired for a slow-paced deck like Spirits, helping them to keep up what they need and lower the threat level of opponent's board (or graveyard in this case) The key issue of course, is having her out along-side other spirits. Normal Summoning is too important to the deck and more often then not, being able to have her out with another Spirit Monster would require the game to have been carried on for a bit. Or, if your using Izanagi or something similar)

(3) When this Card is Normal Summoned: Add 1 Spirit monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.

Hey, it's an Aratama or Izanami depending on what you need. Only.. it costs your Normal Summon for the turn. Where as Aratama and Izanami can both be dropped immediately after dropping a Nikitama to tutor or Izanami to recover. Sure, Iza costs a discard but with the draw potential the deck has it seldom hurts.

So the issue boils down to, summoning it and being able to use it effectively. It's not a Spirit, so it lacks its own form of search the deck would want, and it can't be summoned after a Nikitama. As stated before, Spirits like to normal summon their own things due to Nikitama granting that second summon to speed things up, get you your beater or do combo plays with Storm Forth.
