Atypical-Abbie
Normal Spell Card Banish 1 Level 7 monster from your hand or face-up from your side of the field; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Sacred Sword of Seven Stars" per turn. This card had its prime when Dragon Rulers, well, ruled the game. The ability to draw 2 cards and trigger their effects was very good, since that made their consistency that much better. It was Limited soon after though, along with the Dragon Rulers being at 1 and the Baby Rulers being banned, but now Dragon Rulers are banned for good and this card has been semi-limited instead. Now I ask, is this card worth running in other Decks than Dragon Rulers? The amount of Level 7 heavy Decks is pretty limited, but drawing 2 cards can still be pretty good, a lot of Decks try to maximize the amount of Level 8 monsters for Trade-In to work well, so is it possible to build a Sacred Swords engine effectively? If we get more Level 7 heavy Decks, this may become a problem hard later on, but the semi-limit it has right now seems reasonable. What do you think? ihop
It's always got potential to be a good card just like the majority of discard something - draw 2 cards cards do, especially because it has no other drawbacks. The fact that it banishes is lame but sometime down the line it's more than possible that there'll be an archetype of 7s that either likes to be banished or has so many 7s that it doesn't care if one gets banished. O.o Dragons have their own foolish but they still rin foolish. Qli have their own MST but they still run MST. Et cetera.

Qli have their own MST but they still run MST. Et cetera. Well, this card doesn't really do as much for them as their own card does. They won't run both. Even the themed one is pretty mediocre. You only have 6 level 7s, so. That's not too bad for running 2 of them, and we never know if they'll get more either.

Nah, Red-eyes dumps to the grave faster than light. Even the archetype trade-in can be dead in like 3 turns. Granted this still has utility. Has anyone considered running it in Infernoids? You have cards to recycle you banished zone anyway. Dumping 1 copy of the level 7 when you can doesn't seem too bad for a draw 2, especially if you've gotten shitty mills of reasoning. Adding a situational combo to a Deck that has trouble with setup is not a good idea.
