First two reveals for my full set, Dragon Spirit Rising. Here are two of the six Dragon Spirits, who are major characters in the set's lore, as you will see by a large amount of the other cards. This thread will be updated periodically with reveals for the rest of the set, as well as the lore for important characters.

 

[spoiler='Kar'Zhak lore']

 

Kar'Zhak was once a dragon born to the Jellar Sanctuary. Kar'Zhak always had a desire to become the strongest, ascend to Godhood and defend his allies and more importantly, his sister, Niz'Jell, after they had lost their mother in battle. His skills were praised high and wide by the sanctuary, and he was quickly on the path to ascension. That was, until Kar'Zhak heard murmurs. Voices. The tainting whispers took over his mind and lead him to the pits of Zhakneth, where he journeyed to the very core. There, he met an emissary of Sel'Neth, offering him supreme power - At a cost. Kar'Zhak couldn't refuse, even before hearing of the cost. He offered up his existence to Sel'Neth, and became a god. A god of corrupted, twisted malice and untold horror.

 

Now, Kar'Zhak's only ambition in life is to spread malice, famine, despair and plague. [/spoiler]

 

[spoiler='Niz'Jell Lore']

 

Niz'Jell and Kar'Zhak were both born to Mel'anya, a Dragon Queen of the Jellar Sanctuary. However, her army grew weak, to motivate them - She stepped onto the battlefield herself. They reclaimed many lands lost to the darkness of Zhakneth, however, Mel'anya was tricked by Sel'Neth, killed by the Aethermind's schemes, leaving Niz'Jell and Kar'Zhak without a mother. After her brother's betrayal, she became the Jellar Sanctuary's Goddess Dragon. Now, blessed with the strength of her Sanctuary, Niz'Jell fights to free her brother from madness.[/spoiler]
