Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. During your opponent's Battle Phase, when your opponent's Monster declares an attack, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and target one Monster you control: That monster attacks the monster you targeted instead. If a monster your opponent controls is destroyed by Battle; Inflict 500 Damage to your Opponent.

 

I felt YGO doesn't have enough cards that make the Battle Phase a complete nightmare for your opponent, so I thought of this. Also to give DARK something that isn't Key Beetle.

I think this is extremely underpowred when it comes to the current meta, also Key Beetle is still better. the main reason that could push this to play would be that semi cowboy eff maybe.
Going into a high def monster without any relevant protection eff is not what rank 4 decks usually do. Crab King is only good bcz it can.also go offensive. I think this would only be used if combined with other gimmicky high def walls or during desperate moments or when you have an already established field, which in this case key beetle would be better sincr it also protects things.
Overall, its not that bad. It just couldve been better/more relevant if made during past formats.
