Neo Monsters

Okay, so if you play Vanguard, you will know the mechanics and where this comes from. I feel like this could boost certain archtypes that really need support or just could use a bit more help.

 

Enter the Neo Cards.

 

Still deciding on a color suitable for the cards, (Since they aren't just normal monsters.) Red maybe?

 

Anyways these cards go into a "Deck" of there own, but are placed with the Xyz and Synchros. The Extra Deck still only allows 15 cards, but this other deck would allow (5-10?) Neo cards.

 

HOW TO SUMMON:

 

It's fairly simple. In the same manner you would summon an Xyz monster, you Overlay a Neo Monster on top of the monster required on the Neo card [Generally it has the name Neo (Monster Name) of the monster you would be using.]

 

Neo monsters have Levels equivalent to the monsters they overlay with, and cannot be Tributed or used for an Xyz or Synchro Summon. I am not sure if I want them to be able to attack or not, since they still have the same Attack and Defence of a Non-Neo Monster.

 

The Point of Neo Cards is to Overlay on top of an existing card that either doesn't have an effect or an effect not really useful once on the field. An example I came up with was this

 

Neo Cyber Dragon / Level 5

 

Same Atk/Def since I can't remember it right now.

 

Must be Neo Summoned to a card Whose Original name is "Cyber Dragon." Once per turn, you can change the names of all monsters you control to "Cyber Dragon" Until the end of the turn.

 

 

Now to prevent over-use/Spamming, Neo cards can only be used once per duel, and during the end phase of your turn, they return to the Extra Deck Face-Up, to notify that you have used that Neo Monster. Once a Neo monster is returned to the Extra Deck, the original monster would be placed back on the field, rather in the graveyard, in the position it was in when you Neo summoned.

 

Another example is this:

 

Neo Zeradias, Herald of Heaven / Level 4

 

If a "Zeradias, Herald of Heaven" You control would be destroyed by its own effect, you can Neo Summon this card immediately from the Extra Deck. You can send 1 card from your hand to the graveyard to add 1 "Sanctuary in the Sky" to your hand.

Neo Blue-Eyes White Dragon / Level 8

 

Must be Neo Summoned by using a card whose original name is "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and cannot be special summoned by other ways. Once per turn, you can increase this cards attack by 1000.

Neo Stardust Dragon

 

When a "Stardust Dragon" you control is tributed by it's own effect, Special Summon it and immediately Neo Summon using this card. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field: You can send this card to the Extra Deck Face-Up; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.

When a Thread needs a boost, Immediately Neo Summon this card.
