Atypical-Abbie
I decided to give Performapals a Tuner monster, but to give it a little flare, I decided to make it a Pendulum as well. Pendulum Effect: You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Performapal" monsters, "Magician" Pendulum Monsters, and "Odd-Eyes" monsters. This effect cannot be negated. Monster Effect: Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster. If this card is Pendulum Summoned: You can target 1 other face-up monster you control; its Level becomes 3.
Blake
Extremely meh.Scale 1 doesn't do anything relevant enough to merit having it and restrictions upon it like that. However, the monster effect could merit it.Only being able to use it for level 7s makes it seem incredibly poor. I'd rather continue running Noble Dragon Magician because of the fact that 5+8= Stardust Spark, Scrap Dragon, Ignister than run this for a 1-card wider S7 pool, and only Yazi at that. You could make this a wyrm to support that, but this hardly looks Wyrm-ish, considering how the silver thorn dragons look. The on-Pendulum effect really doesn't sell it, either. Congrats, you can... Make a spare lizardraw/donkey 4? I mean it's not bad, but it lacks what made a card like Stamp Turtle a cute tech before; The ability to R4 (and rarely R5) with it. It removed the weakness of your level 3s or buffed your 4s, and it did up to 2 at a time. Like, Turtle works with Donkey to R4... this does not.I'm not saying this is worse than Turtle, I'm just saying that this is a card comparable to turtle for S7 insstead of R4, and it just... doesn't do it well when Noble Dragon Magician exists. The fact that it's level 3 hardly helps it, either, and it would make more sense as a Level 4 that makes things Level 3 than vice-versa.Possible changes:Level 4Makes things level 3, as this makes it less a poor Xyz supporter and more a good Synchro supporter.Remove the current restriction, as it's rather poor, and make it require P-Pals/Odd-Eyes (magician seems a bit too open and makes it seem weird that it's in the same deck(s) as Magician) for other materials. Maybe limit the type it summons, much like Noble, in addition to that, so that it's both more restrictive, but less restrictive in-theme.Sso, like:Level 4Dragon/Tuner/Pendulum/EffectP-Eff/Scale: SameM-Eff: Cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster, except for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-type monster (and cannot be used as an Xyz Material Monster, maybe?), and all other Synchro Material Monsters must be "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyes" monsters. When this card is Pendulum Summoned: You can target 1 "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyes" Monster you control; Until the end of this turn, that monster's level becomes 3. You can only use this effect of "Performapal Jestagon" once per turn.1500/1500
AnnieShifter
Whenever if comes to a Pendulum Tuner you always have to be incredibly careful to place strong restrictions on the card to prevent Synchro spam, since they can always just come back due to the Pendulum Mechanic. For example: Zefra have their pseudo-tuner who shuffles himself back into the deck to prevent abuse, the Dracoknight is restricted to its own archetype, and Noble Dragon Magician is restricted to Dragons and if is used with anything other than Odd-Eyes shuffles herself back into the deck. This card on the other hand is only restricted to level 7 Synchros and has no negative restriction that prevents it from being used every turn to continuously summon level 7 Synchros. Perhaps if you limited it to only being able to Synchro with Performapals, Odd-Eye, and Pendulum Magicians, and possibly placed some sort of negative effect that returns it to the deck, then the card would be less abusable. Other than that, I love the card and how it opens up a greater scale for Performapals, not to mention that Joker and Odd-Eyes both search the card. AnnieShifter
Changed the card a bit. I really would of seen it as a better idea to restrict the card, not improve it. At this point the card may be seen as on par, if not superior to Noble Dragon Magician (NDM). The card has similar restrictions to NDM, but is far less restricted overall. NDM can be summoned from the Grave and can P Summoned, but if she is ever used to synchro with anything other than Odd-Eyes she returns to the deck. That restriction prevents her from being consistently abused every turn. On the other hand, this card has no such negative down-side that prevents constant resummoning and synchroing every turn. Not to mention that it being a level four, opens it up to more synchros than NDM. To make matters worse, it does not require any specific monster to be resummoned and properly used as NDM does. The Pendulum Mechanic in general allows for unnecessary revival and advantage which in turn breaks the concept of tuners and synchros, since they (pendulum tuners) are sent to Extra Deck and can be continuously used. I still recommend it being restricted to its three main archetypes (Pendulum Magician, Odd-Eyes, and Performapals) and to add an effect similar NDM and Zefraxi, where they return to the deck if they reach a certain requirement. The card can still be consistently searched and resummoned even if sent to the deck. So I really do recommend adding that restriction just to significantly balance the card.
