It does nothing in Clownblade.

That's a joke right? Throw in the teleport engine and you get free access to Naturias. Ignorance is bad

I see a logical flaw here though

1) XYZ material is not considered on the field
2) Tengu does not trigger if it becomes XYZ material
3) but since material is a different entity, it MUST leave the field to enter the XYZ material zone

No I mean it allows for more elaborate synchro plays. If at three. More than that however, it's a perpetual rank 4 on the field. It's quite difficult to remove so half the rank 4 is set

 

What I mean is Clown blade is all about the Rank 4 plays. Tengu being extremely hard to remove allows the deck to relax on a certain front.

Adding dead cards to make a deck that already has a tight extra deck have "synchro plays" does not sound optimal in the slightest.


You'd be suprised. None of the staple traps outside of Warning really get rid of tengu. It's a sure fire way of getting your XYZ's out. The synchro engine is only good IMO if you play Brilliant Fusion

 

The "synchro engine" doesn't exist as of now due to Dark Law shitting all over the deck. A jet synchron tech however is not unheard of in clown blade

Please. It's amazing in the deck. I understand that you can't since Trish is banned still in TCG. Honestly TCG players can't really talk about "clown blade" since half ya'all don't even have CDI

 

I was wrong. It's decent due to being able to lock out the Nekroz spells as well as the Infernoid Mill engine. Nothing stellar however.

That deck barely has space for its Xyz. Don't get me started on adding Synchros as well.

All the OCG Clownblade decklists I can find (admittedly not many) do not play E-Tele nor Tengu and I still fail to see why playing a card which is mediocre unless you draw it plus E-Tele is good, and I fail to see how it is worth playing Synchros in a deck that needs 5 extra deck slots for literally 2 engines and thus is tighter on extra deck space than a rat's arsehole.

Me. I'm sorry. Basically Konoomy hates Synchros and that's where Tengu shines. It CAN cause problems in a rank 4 deck which is why OCG still has it @2. Tho Trishula might have something to do with that. Before I make myself look even worse

Synchros (in general) are weak (not as efficient) as XYZ or even fusions
This card likes Synchros
This card looks weak

"Extremely hard to remove" certainly doesn't mean Castel right?
