So we get a Saqlifice, an Asceticism and a Defense Draw/Reborn. That's a LOT.

More like we get a mediocre Saqlifice and a mediocre Ascetism, don't oversell them. The trap seems reasonable, I guess? idk, none of them except maybe the Adcetism-like one look particularly impressive.

1. Ultimate Mace is ok, it gives Raidraptors a Djinn out, and a 2300-2700 beatstick is nothing to laugh at. Put this on Strix and it becomes even bigger. Search is too situational though, and RUM aren't really that good in RR with the current targets.

2. Call is fine, but the only worthwhile target for it is Vanishing, which limits the card's usefulness. Swallow's Nest is better overall.

3. Necro Raptors is not good...at all. You don't even get to trigger Raidraptors effects when they are summoned, and if you really don't want to get OTK'd, Readiness is better.

Nice try Konami, but no dice.

These fit Shun's Dueling style perfectly, though.

Ultimate Mace makes his monsters more threatening and inflict more damage, while also protecting them (and himself) from damage. Grabbing a RUM afterwards is just amusing.

Call is actually pretty useful. It means you don't have to rely specifically on combos going off to do anything (so if Shun miraculously didn't open Vanishing Lanius x3), but the key part of this is that it grabs a monster with the same NAME. Raidraptors were playing off the implied concept of the same name in the anime for ages. (Vanishing only Summons monsters with the same name, Nest only searches a monster with the same name. Dimensional Xyz requires 3 of the same name). RL Raidraptors are thankfully more flexible.

Necro Raptors is mediocre, but it fits Shun's style of how he's always being pushed to his limits from the war, so he'll endure the attacks and destruction of his monsters, and then strike back just when you think he's down. That's how Readiness worked. That's how Adversity worked. That's how THIS works.

Essentially, that's Shun's entire theme. Low ATK swarming monsters that uses the aggression of the opponent to kill them. If you weren't so destructive and aggressive, Shun's Deck is passive.

Seriously, ever since Shun lost to Sora in their rematch (though the Duel was skipped to the point of absurdity) and became vulnerable for an episode or two, I found his theme and character infinitely more interesting and awesome. It helps that he stopped opening 3 Vanishing every Duel.

I'm not saying they're comparable in strength, I'm saying that's the role the cards fit in the Deck, and the "wow" was in response to the "cover all the bases" approach shown.
