Tricksters

These would be trap pendulums basically.

They would be part monster part trap and instead of summoning monsters like pendulums, they would set spells and traps.

There would be 2 zones, when you have a trickster in each zone you can set two traps/spells from your deck or graveyard onto the field that are between the two cards spell/trap types like this: the order goes quick-play,normal spell, field spell, continuous spell, continuous trap, counter trap, and normal trap in a loop. During the main phase you would flip the two tricksters in your zones facedown and then set two spells and/or traps onto the field those traps types would have to be between the trickster's spell/trap types. Then during your opponent's turn you could use your set tricksters like normal traps.

I don't think I quite understand the sequence of card types.

Pendulums were at least remotely understandable and compact since it's just a number scale representing Levels. How would the card sequence appear on the Trickster cards?

If it's a loop, wouldn't this also mean that you theoretically have 2 ranges each time?

The reason I didn't use a number scale representing levels was because I don't want to have to add levels to spells and traps

Though I guess I could do it like this: 1=Quickplay Spell, 2= Normal Spell, 3=Field Spell, 4=Continuous Spell 5=Continuous Trap, 6=Counter Trap, 7= Normal Trap.

And if it wasn't a loop you could never add quickplays or traps which would eliminate a lot of cards.
