Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/georgia-man-legally-carry-ar-15-rifle-atlanta-airport-article-1.2244745?utm_content=buffer98f73&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=NYDN+Facebook I don't hate guns although I personally would not own one. I respect the 2nd Amendment. But this? What sane person needs a fully loaded semi-automatic rifle at an airport? Even if it was legal(which it shouldn't be), why would anyone feel the need to do such a thing? Are they THAT scared? What he did made other gun owners look bad, IMO. So, for those of you that live in the U.S., should someone be legally allowed to open carry a semi-automatic rifle or an assault rifle in public places? Even if you don't live in the U.S., I still would like to hear your thoughts. Keep things civil. Discuss.
Tentacruel
I mean, it is legal I guess. Airports are sketchy. I'd say at the very least it shouldn't be loaded, but you really should keep your gun in a case at an airport. Security and shit.
Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
I forgot to mention not every state allows this sort of thing. I think that should be obvious, though, tbh.
epicmemesbro
Would you rather have a deranged lunatic carrying that thing or a law-abiding citizen? If it was legal I don't see a problem. But there are some irresponsible owners who forget that they are carrying in a gun-free zone. Those guys must be the ones giving a bad rep to the responsible ones, as well as causing panic everytime someone sees someone legally carrying. GarlandChaos
Wait. So this guy carried a big honking rifle into an airport full of people? A loaded and semi-automatic rifle, at that? What the funk, folks?

Incidence like these can be compared like police brutality. The media focus more on the bad and not when the officers actually do things right. When a civilian subdues a suspect at gunpoint, the media will not put that story. Instead they'll say he was subdued physically.

Well, when you put it that way, then it is better if a law-biding citizen has that. But we're talking about a fully loaded AR-15. Why anyone would feel the need to bring that into an airport is beyond me.
