Lore: 2 Level 8 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Level 8 "Gearfried" Monster you control as the Xyz Material. This card gains 1000 ATK for each "Gearfried" monster that is banished. If this card has "Gearfried" Monster as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect. If this card were to be destroyed, attatch 1 "Gearfried" monster instead to this card (from your Deck or hand.) Once per turn: You can detach 1 "Gearfried" Xyz Material from this card; banish 1 monster (in your Graveyard) and 1 other card on the field or in your opponent Graveyard.

Thanks to supportive feedback from fellow members here, a beautiful card has been crafted finally :)

A nice little card for use with Gearfried Decks. This card can easily get upwards of 5000 ATK with its effect, but what I'm somewhat worried about is that this card gets Xyz Materials for *preventing* its destruction, which seems unbalanced. I would recommend making it "if this card would be destroyed, detach 1 instead" and making the attaching effect a separate sentence. Other than that, the card is fine as it is.

Also, why is it only limited to Lightray Gearfried?

I picked Lightray Gearfried; since he has hard summoning requirements. Therefore a player who would Xyz summon Gearfried the crimson champion using Lightray; will gain higher ATK power and temporary immortality. Now if we were to Xyz summon with another Level 8 Gearfried monster instead; then we will gain a 4000 ATK Gearfried who can banish 1 card on the opponent field. it sounds fair honestly since all Level 8 Gearfried monsters are hard to summon. To utilize this card to maximum potential one must go through effort of constructing a deck that enables level 8 Gearfried monsters to be summoned easily, this will require lot of sacrifice of useful deck space. Overall this steps up the power game for Gearfried monsters.

Well, Lightsworns can summon Lightray Gearfried pretty easily, considering they simply mill all the LIGHT monsters needed to summon Lightray Gearfried. With Lightsworns, this card feels like "icing on the cake" for Lightsworn rather than a "Gearfried" deck boss monster.

You forget that immortality of this card is caused by attaching Gearfried monsters from your Deck to prevent it from being destroyed. Let's say you Xyz summon it with Lightray Gearfried (that was easily summoned using Lightsworns), you will only gain the detaching effect which will increase Crimson champion ATK to 4000 and banish 1 card on field. However this card will have no immortality due to having only Lightsworn cards in your Deck. This card may be powerful, however it is necessary monster to lift Gearfried monsters to the higher tier. I do appreciate your feedback.

For one, it's a lot easier to Summon compared to the previous version, so it's got that going for making it more playable.

I would be uneasy about it being able to attach Materials from the hand or Deck, but seeing that there are very few Gearfried monsters that are easy to use for this card's Summon (Phoenix and Lightray) means there also is a very limited amount of times you can extend his lifespan. Would recommend you loosen the restriction from only Lightray Gearfried to any Gearfried monster since you've acknowledged how a Deck will have to do some dedication to even put down a LV8 Gearfried monster on the field.

It's a shame this card is just effectively a vanilla 3000-ATK beater to the Decks that wish to use him without dedicating to Gearfried. They'd get more mileage out of Felgrand or GETD as a Rank 8 option. Then again, that final effect is pretty potent, being a a much more potent version of effects seen on cards like Diamond Dire Wolf, Scrap Dragon, or Dracossack.

It is unfortunate that he's only exclusive to Gearfried Decks; I would loved to make him compatible to all warrior-type Decks honestly. However we managed to make his summoning requirements lot easier than previously. As for making his effect enabled to all Level 8 Gearfried monsters; I wouldn't mind altering that; thanks for feedback.
