Icy
Must first be Normal Summoned. If this card battles a monster and it is not destroyed as a result of battle or if that monster was not destroyed by a Spell, Trap or Monster effect you activated this turn, negate the effect of that monster and banish it. If this attacking monster banishes a monster this attack becomes a direct attack. Note: Effect is intended to stop otherwise "unstoppable" monsters. ... ~ P O L A R I S ~
Brutally underpowered. Three-Tribute monsters haven't been remotely competitive since Obelisk in Frogs and this is very different in that it has no protection from effects. This would either lose you the game instantly to a Trap/Quick effect or lose you the game the next turn when they put a Rank 4 together or just play ygo. For something with such a situational effect it should require a little less investment, a lower-level version of this with proportional stats could work. Icy
Trying to keep a theme and keeping a card playable is rather difficult at times. Not to mention I've been trying to keep the cards themselves simple as much as reasonably possible with as little tacked on effect as I can put, while again keeping it playable. And with Doomsday being "the monster that killed Superman", Ive got a lot of power to work with. I could drop his stats down to like 2800/2800/Level 8-9 to keep below the BEWD line and drop his tribute requirements as per suggestion?
~ P O L A R I S ~
That'd be a step in the right direction for sure, it'd still be pretty far from meta but nothing implausible given the precedents Konami's given us. Just noticed the Superman connection, very nice! Makes me wonder what a Superman would be like.
Icy
Bump. Adjusted as per suggestion with an alteration in card text after discussion with Armz over Skype last night. [hr] As for Superman, I kind of want to run the gambit with the minor heroes (Martian Manhunter being an exception because I was in an Alien mood) and Villains first. I think up next will be Vandal Savage?
